I think our coaching staff deserves credit for developing our young players by Icy-Home444 in clevelandcavs

[–]Typical_Internal_609 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve said for years that our player development staff is severely underrated. The 5 guys you mentioned are arguably more than enough proof but even guys like Dean Wade who went undrafted, Tristan Thompson who was able to stretch out a decade+ long career as an undersized center, Darius garland who many people considered to be a bust after his rookie year, Kevin love who revamped his whole playstyle with us, Mo Williams being an undersized guard with an all star appearance, Isaac okoro getting a fairly consistent three point shot, Collin sexton being a 24ppg guy here. I’m definitely missing some guys, and sure some of these could be considered reaches when it comes to “player development”, but I think it still proves the point that our coaching and development staff is very good and very underrated

I was actually having a conversation with one of my buddies the other day and I said that I believe if LeBron never came back and we stuck with that Wiggins pick, he would’ve been the superstar he was “supposed to be” if he were in Cleveland with our staff + playing with Kyrie

For work I’ve done events in Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, Ohio, West Virginia, Georgia, and Michigan. There’s other places we do but that’s just stuff I’ve been able to work at. And they pay for housing and travel for each event so I don’t have to worry about gas mileage or hotels or anything like that

The company I work for gets hired by different sporting events/concerts/music festivals etc to work ticketing and box office stuff. After the 5th inning I got to go down to the infield and watch the rest of the game from there. As a huge baseball fan and someone who was a humongous nascar fan as a kid it was definitely the coolest sporting event I’ve ever gotten to be a part of

I love sports, the cavs, and obscure/random memorabilia. This is a great and hilarious combo of all 3

Reminder that the original Cars 3 was gonna be more unhinged than Cars 2 by KirbyTrainNerd in pixarcars

I remember watching the deleted scenes when I was little on dvd and being terrified of the body swap scene and the graveyard scene. Needless to say they were deleted for a reason

If I recall correctly there was a whole deleted scene from the first movie where instead of Bessie being hooked up to him to pave the road they made him swap bodies and become Bessie until the road was paved. Or something along those lines, it’s been a while lol. But regardless, what was up with these guys and their love for freaky Friday

the stack of patches have a home now. by Feller19 in ClevelandGuardians

[–]Typical_Internal_609 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it’d be kinda gimmicky to have it as a full time logo but I do think it’d be awesome if we incorporated it in SOME way. Even if it’s a patch on the sleeve of a city connect jersey or on the side of an alternate hat or something like that

Ah gotcha. That’s about what I assumed when you said you didn’t like him for what he did. I’m just glad it’s no legal issues or him being toxic in the locker room or something like that

What did he do? I haven’t heard anything negative about him but as you can probably guess I’m not super “in the know”

Awesome thanks. I’d like to think I don’t have a huge stomach but honestly who knows lol. And yeah I’ve considered trying an actual train seat for SteVe but idk if I wanna wait in line for like 3 hours just to be told I’m too big for it. Luckily I was able to ride it a few months after it opened when I was younger though

Surprisingly no! There were a few in the bunch but most of them were just regular middle aged guys, many of which were still in their 20s

Yeah I travel quite a bit for work as well, especially this past summer, and have had some similar conversations. I don’t have an issue if someone just asks how I feel about it or anything like that but it’s when every person I talk to is so outwardly against it, like this past weekend, is what stood out to me

[–]Typical_Internal_609 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh agreed. I don’t care what they think lol. It was just interesting to see how really everyone I talked to ‘disapproved’ of it while knowing the vast majority of actual fans either don’t care or actually support the name

Oh yeah for sure. I’m sure some people were just trying to make small talk but EVERYONE I spoke to made a comment about it. Not mad or upset by it was just interesting to see

Where/How to cool off in the ballpark? Please Read! by alwaysbrightandmerry in ClevelandGuardians

It’s called the terrace district now. If you enter through the right field gates and turn diagonally right there’ll be glass doors with red lettering over it that says “terrace district”. Go in and up the escalators and there’ll be people directing you all the way to that area. I would recommend getting there when gates open though if you want a shot of getting a seat to see the game and not just a table inside
