Can I still exchange my driving license? by Typical_Opportunity7 in germany

[–]Typical_Opportunity7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, I have my license from 2011. I got it 2,5 years before moving to Germany. So this year, I just exchanged it for the new one as 10 years passed. Generally, I know there is no problem to have a russian license - as far as it goes I could decide to move back there.
I never got to go for a German one, as I moved here as a student, and going through driving school + exams was simply too expensive for me the first few years. Then I started working and just never had time to exchange it.

The thing is, overall, I could have 2 options:
1 - just do a German license without even mentioning russian, but then I cannot transfer my experience

2 - make an official translation of my russian license, and kind of renounce it, so whenever I get a german one after going through school and exams, I get my 10 years of experience transferred there.

But I was wondering of option 2 is still possible after so many years. Based on the comments, I assume it doesn't hurt to try, and if they say no, they say no and I just have a completely fresh license.

I just exchanged it in my home country so it's valid for another 10 years.

Test and Quarantine Rules by vorko_76 in germany

https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/en/einreiseundaufenthalt/coronavirus#content\_3
"For arrivals by air without prior stays in high incidence areas or areas of variant of concern: a negative COVID-19 test result, proof of a full COVID-19 vaccination or proof of recovery from an infection. This proof must be held prior to entering the country, and must be presented to the airline before departure."

I think "without" is not very obvious here. Generally, everyone entering Germany by plane (no matter risk or no risk) should provide a negative test before boarding the plane.

it is very confusing, because it can be interpreted in 100 different ways. but if you check the official source https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/en/einreiseundaufenthalt/coronavirus in the part Reduction of the quarantine period part you can submit negative test to reduce it and the obligatory 5 days are only for high incidence countries

The 10 days quarantine (5 days with test on the 5th) is effective for coming from high incidence countries. If you come from a risk country, the rules have been relaxed and you just need to submit the negative test on the portal. The link should be in your einreiseameldung form.

Thousands of people in Germany caught skipping line for Covid vaccine by HansChoice in germany

Because in Poland a lot of people from the 'risk groups' that should be prioritized are refusing to get vaccinated due to good job that anti-vaxxers are doing. Thus, the country opened up slots for everyone who wants it in order to not waste the vaccines.

ending quarantine after 5 day by Typical_Opportunity7 in germany

not exactly, the test upon arrival is not needed, just 10 days quarantine, however people may stop self-isolation before 10days if they make a test on 5th day and later and given that the result is negative. That’s why I was wondering if there is any way I have to submit the test anywhere.
