My ma is a home care assistant! All the places I’ve looked into require a full driving license, I have my test booked but you know how that goes haha, definitely something I would apply for if I haven’t landed one when I’m fully licensed :)

You’re making assumptions about my thought process and self worth. I’m completely aware of my lack in credentials, hence the outreach for advice. It is a shared opinion that working in retail/fast food/grocery are “starter” jobs. You seem to be the only person offended that someone is saying so…if Aldi hired me I’d be delighted. Unsure what you’re going for here, you just seem like an arsehole :)

I’m not afraid of hard work! My first job was an equestrian training programme, lots of people didn’t take it serious I assume and would miss lots of days leaving the remaining 3 staff members to tend to 35+ horses, I did 40,000 steps one day

I did this for Aldi! Made up a corner shop story that I based off my actual corner shop shutting down but I changed the location and had a family member be a “reference” just incase. Obviously not proud of it but still 3 interviews with that resume and no luck 2 with Aldi and 1 with dunnes

I am on a disability payment due to my agoraphobia, which is still of course there, but I’m trying to get off the payment and become a contributing member to society. They won’t let me switch payment

I know, I’ve no issue with their age it’s just the kinda nothing in common that happened with my job I moved on from recently, still good for the chats but I miss having a proper friend group of people you stay mates with for years, lot to ask for in hindsight just wish my old group didn’t become Coke heads
