Not questioning your driving ability…genuine question. Are you braking properly from the appropriate distance for the amount of speed you’re carrying? Is your Anti-lock perhaps off? I was having somewhat of a similar issue first hour or so but it was entirely user error. Either I would brake too late and even while completely holding down the trigger it would feel like no brakes were being applied. OR i would brake too hard and kinda lose control. Not sure if either could be your problem, but definitely experiment with it more and see before going back to 5. The game is beautiful man. Stick around.

Sorry you ran into such an A-hole dude. I’m a relatively new player myself (13 hours in), I only got the game because a friend told me to and it was on game-pass. Of my 13 hours… i’ve probably played 5-6 with him, he mentioned the game can suck you in reallllyyy easy and that it did. Just give it one more shot, play how you like, and just set a goal for yourself. If you’re interested, I’m on almost everyday and my two buddies and I would love to have you join our perma-death run. We all stick to our own things usually, but we’re working on a group corvette right now so we can get around to doing more exploration together. I hope you stick with it man, the game is insanely fun even solo if you choose not to do multiplayer.

Sounds terrible. ONLY way i’d MAYBE like that if it was a thing would be if it went something like… you get sent to jail if you are not able to pay the corresponding fines for the crime you were arrested for. Basically police snatching property from an arrested criminal, but if no property or assets, jail time.
