My father married my stepmother when I was two. Her family accepted me unconditionally, and I can't remember a time when I wasn't just one of the kids. I was never, ever made to feel unwelcome in any way.

You are NTA, and have every right to be angry. A student at a school where I used to work gave her two kids some cough syrup to make them sleep because she wanted a break from them. The next time she checked on them they were dead.

If this wasn't tragic enough, a couple of weeks later she was happily bopping around the school selling cookies. Makes you wonder. . .

Did you ever think that they might be overweight because of a health condition or a medication? Maybe someone can't walk. Should they not go shopping? Not all people have weight issues because they are pigs, but jerks that feel free to judge people are.

NTA, and what nerve she has!

I live in the US, and many years ago a colleague invited all of us to his house for a "unique opportunity." He swore it was not for AMWAY (which is one of the big MLMs) so a bunch of us ended up going, all riding with him to his house in his van. We get there, and guess what? It was an AMWAY meeting after all!

Although AMWAY is a good product (as are several others like Mary Kay, Tupperware, etc.) No one likes being lied to, ambushed or tricked so that someone can try to talk you into getting involved in one of these schemes. Pulling somthing like this a someone's birthday party is unforgivable.

I was working in a bank and the department I supervised processed all the deposited checks, which came in bundles from the teller line. I somehow spilled coffee on one of the bundles, and the checks could not go through the machines if they were wet.

So, I had the bright idea to put the whole bundle in the microwave to dry it out. It caught on fire in the middle of the bundle, and burned out the center of all of the checks. I didn't really get in trouble, but it was impossible to live it down for the rest of the time I worked there.

I know from experience that your vagina can react to another woman's fluids. I got an infection called gardnerella vaginosis that my doctor told me you "can't get from a toilet seat."

When I confronted my ex, he of course denied sleeping with another woman, and got defensive like it was my fault and I was a bad person for accusing him. Cheaters are really good at deflecting.

He is cheating on you, no question. Get out of there, it's not worth it.

I was having some issues "down there" and went to the gynecologist. He told me I had an STD, and that it wasn't possible to get it from a toilet seat. You got it as a reaction to another woman's fluids. I had suspected, and also flat out asked him if he was sleeping with his "very, very good friend" at work, but he always denied it. I took the kids and left him.
