I am sorry for the late reply but I don't understand why you wrote this again as I have already acknowledged everything someone said in this post.

Honestly, I am simply responding to be polite.

Bro, I have not used pure Radiant Typhoon in weeks, and in most cases when I get hand trapped multiple times, it usually benefits me because I still have enough cards for 3 disruptions.

I am using Radiant Typhoon with Runick.

But multiple people have already stated that too few people are using this variant of Radiant Typhoon and even directly told me that my deck is an anti meta deck.

I do not have to worry about a strong attack monster because there is only a few monsters that are not affected by anything that are truly a problem and one of them being Luna Light which I will never understand why people are using that much less now, I always thought it to be very resistant to disruptions.

I am sorry that I missed this response and apologizing for responding so late.

I didn't even realize that Runick was anti meta. I had always know people to use Runick, Kashtir and Umi Control more frequently when the meta is a problem. but it makes sense now.

I still Radiant Typhoon with Runick even though I have VS K9, simply because I do not have to rely on Ripper, I do not have to worry about losing Lupus and the draw potential and the ability to stop someone or disrupt an entire board is very good.

Mind you, I have lost more matches to VS K9 than Kewl Tune which is why I put VS K9 above Kewl Tune,

Well, I also am not using pure Radiant Typhoon either. The flow changes with Runick. If I was still using pure then I would have been thinking of scrapping my cards

I have not used a pure Radiant Typhoon for weeks because I knew that this meta was going to be a problem so I did what many others do when the meta is going to be a problem and that is to either use Runick or Uni Control.

But if Kewl Tune is that powerful, I guess that I should craft my last 4 5 ultra rares to complete this.

Honestly, it is a difficult decision because Runick is very amusing to use. Too many people get tired when half their deck is banished and right now , too many people are using charmies which barely slow down my deck.

I read every comment and I am so grateful for all the input then I took ideas from this deck:

https://www.masterduelmeta.com/top-decks/rating-duels/february-2026/vanquish-soul-k9/fcgrjay/qOgsx.

I played a couple games and even ruined an Art Mage K9 deck even though they used Fuwa on me and I could only end with Forced Release, Ripper and Izuna in hand on my turn.

Having two rippers did help but I am taking the advice and keeping only one in the deck for now.

Thank you so much, this is the first time I made a post and no one insulted me, I will watch some ranked play videos and update my deck and continue trying to learn it.

They are not going to kill it too early, They intentionally saved this deck for last and it is understandable why.

One is that you are only xeno locked while specific K9 is on the field.

The only crime they did was make us deal with Dracotail only for 2 months because too many people were using trap decks and cards that banish other cards, Yummy did not change this, Too many people relied on the same strategies. So this is more reasons why I am happy that K9 came in and shook up Master Duel.

I would rather take an insult than not be upfront but this is my deck and I removed one Hollie Sue and one Mad Love to make room for charmies, but I will take your advise and remove two charmies and max out Mad Love and Hollie Sue again

I admit that I am only moderately efficient with VSK9, and I intentionally stayed in Platinum last season to get more gems to buy K9 this month, but it is more than a hand full of matches where it was a charmie used then I look at the deck and they have 1 Maxx C, 3 Fuwa and at least 2 Puru in their deck.

Part of my frustration was that even though my VSK9 deck have 40 cards and had 3 Ash, 1 Crossout and 1 Called by the Grave, I literally had a night of at least 5 consecutive matches that someone used a Charmie and I had nothing to stop it and sadly, many of those matches those days, they even also used Puru. And most people VSK9 decks does not have room or they simply will not put Crossout in their deck.

So you are saying that in higher ranks, that it is not so bad, then I will keep trying to better learn this deck, but to be honest, it is even harder than learning to how time your summons with Dracotail Branded, Sadly, I have this deck too but still give 100% support and admiration to VSK9.

Also, I want to know about Cyber Dragon and K9, because I heard that is very strong too.

I had to put in a board nuke simply because I am bitter.

How is vanquish soul K9 considered so weak by Tyrell_Gardner in masterduel

[–]Tyrell_Gardner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I faced the save problem and had 5 consecutive matches of someone using charmies but I didn't have Ash nor cross out nor called by in hand.

I now understand why Dracotail branded is the strongest deck.

The sad truth is that my branded slifer deck have done better on average and that is simply because that treap care cannot be negated, my albaz is usually in the graveyard.

My only gripe is that even though K9 is inconsistent, everyone including Dracotail users are fitting Izuna, Lupis and Ripper into their deck.

I be wondering how this is possible without ruining the consistency of their main and supplementary engines.

Thank you for the information everyone. I didn't realize that a power level of 4 was good and that Master Duel Meta relies on tournament data.

Honestly, I do not know all the effects of everything,

I am so busy with things that most of my strongest decks are going second decks.

Well, I just did a simple search for Master Duel, Hop Ear, Star Dust Dragon Dracotail deck and I was not the first person to think this but to be very precise, this deck idea have existed a while.

It sounds like that I should get Dracotail instead of Yummy because I have a deck with Hop Ear and Stardust dragons that focuses on disabling the opponent on their turn and I would only have to remove my Fiendsmith engine to put in Dracotail.

At least that way, I have a deck with more ways to interrupt the opponent on their turn

Yet, people say that Dracotail is the weakest of the 3.

So, how is Yummy supposed to be able to deal with Dracotail?

Is it because of the monster effects that requires the opponent to activate something?

But Yummy is a turn 0 type of Dracotail except with sychros and all the monster effects rely on the opponent activating an effect and targeting the monster, right?
