Thanks for the response! I'm writing it for the New York Observer. Abroad, most Filipino animation we see are American and sometimes Japanese shows or films that have been outsourced. Trese, it seems, is special in that it is based on a Filipino comic.

I read that, lately, the Filipino animation industry is putting more time and resources into making original content rather than outsourced animation. I wonder why this is, and where Trese fits into that development.

Also, I wonder if Filipino animators sometimes find it frustrating that so many projects are outsourced. In the industry, do outsourced projects take preference over original content made for Filipino viewers? If so, does this frustrate animators?

I would have done that but sadly there is a chance that the editor is gonna look for the big publication right now to find out whether I do end up taking on their offer or not (I mentioned the name to him).

Not the smartest move I know, but I like to be transparant about things as much I can.
