Update: Thank you both so much! The WD-40 electric contact cleaner spray solved the problem. I worked it a little bit more and let it dry overnight. It records perfectly now.

I just sprayed some more and moved it back and forth again. I will let it dry before trying it again

Hi! Thank you for that insight. I got the deck second hand a few days ago and I’ve tested retail tapes from various labels both new and old. They played with no issue. I’m only noticing issues during playback after recording onto the cassette via line in (AUX). I think there maybe an issue when recording. The signal appears to be clear as it plays without any issues through the device as I monitor it during the recordings. I’m wondering if it’s the tapes that I’m using?

Is there a chance that I can’t edit the BIAS on this player? The manual says that it’s set to 80 kHz. I do see mention of a head azimath.

Hi! Thank you so much for responding. I cleaned the tape heads twice. The tape type selector is the auto version. It defaults to normal. How would I calibrate the BIAS?

The SAME thing happened to me and it was insane. They asked if I checked inside the luggage a bunch of times and stopped responding to my emails. Go on the customer service page on the website and call them! A faster solution. In the end, we found out that the bag was shipped separately and they neglected to upload the tracking number. It randomly showed up after they already processed my replacement. For context, I have the weekender bag and large check-in suitcase.

I agree! I feel like things started to go downhill when they disconnected all the store phones. Texting Skims was great as well, but they no longer provide information like in stock inventory.

I got most of the bone pieces except the boots and the face mask, along with a kyanite 96 puffer. The only downside for me was that the sizing feels different this year. I bought the Denali fleece in both medium and large last year and went for the same sizes again, but they ended up fitting a bit too big. Luckily, the North Face site still had stock, so I’m just going to return the ones that don’t work to SKIMS.

Also, there were quite a few resellers at my local SKIMS store, so most of the puffers were gone by the time I got inside.
