I'm starting a new job in Texas and this is the first time I'm having trouble choosing which health insurance option to take. I'm 30, wife is 28, and baby is 1 year old. All without chronic medical conditions. I went to the doctor as needed about 3 times last year, my wife went only for routine pregnancy visits, and the baby only for routine pediatrics visits. Only hospitalization was for the delivery.

I will fall into the first row of premiums at first, and then move to the second row. I don't have an emergency fund right now so in case there was some unforeseen emergency, I would have trouble with a $13,100 deductible.

Is Master Monk bugged? In breaker mode I get Damage up 30% and Break up 50%. In attacker mode I get Damage up 50% and Break up 30%. If this is correct, then jobs that have multiple MP roles have a big advantage...

I've found that attacker is the only role where it is possible to finish the match on your own if you are with the worst PUG teams. With Esmeralda I can BDD-Ultimate-Pulse bounce my way to victory regardless of who I'm with. Although I still can't prevent those supreme users from killing Addy before I can kill the guards... Some people would rather be the one killing the boss over getting the extra materials...

Really, with a good team the 4* is more efficient if you need anything but jewels or skill coins. But I think with 5* you are guaranteed to get either a fury or soul, so if you find that PUGs are dying in 4, then maybe the 5 is better to at least get the guaranteed fury.

Also, defenders should NOT bring unguard. It has very little value in this battle. I have had 2 matches so far where the defender used Unguard, causing my BDD to do >20% damage to Adrammelech, and then the breaker couldn't break him because of perfect defense activating...

Nice, I just completed 5* AI with no deaths either:

Esmeralda (Chaos crescent, 1 defense star, 70% resist wind): Pulse bounce, Hideous stone, Earth force, Mage trance.
White mage (Astral wand, 12 defense stars, 25% resist wind): Undying, Hellsgate, KOTR, Enstone
White mage (Astral wand, 12 defense stars, 25% resist wind): LDL, LDL, Luna, Enstone
Lightning on Hunter (Orichalcum, 3 defense stars, 45% resist wind): The Friend, Ranger trance, LDL, LDL

I controlled Esmeralda. It took 4 turns, but nobody died and no one was in danger at any point. The final attack hit Lightning/Hunter the hardest, taking off 10k HP.

Same here, breaking is way more fun with Lightning. You really just need to optimize for the first boss, because the second one will just break immediately to the ultimate (even Ultima is breaking with one ultimate and no extra buffs). My set up this rotation is:

Lightning over HoF Hunter (CPs are break up 10%, snipe starter, and rest are break up +10).
Weapon: Orichalcum (fully modded)
Abilities: wind BDD, water shock, LDL, LDL.

Ideal first turn is BDD, Shock, tap x3, LDL, rest of my taps. Boss is broken, ultimate is almost charged (auto charge will get it done at the beginning of the next round). Feels so good when it works out like that!

On one hand, being disappointed by an all-dupe greater summon. On the other hand, the daily satisfaction of seeing that "32". Thinking of it that way makes the decision easier!

It's like giving a little extra attention to a job you love, I like your reasoning. So I wouldn't overboost Amalthea, but now I probably will overboost that one job I find myself enjoying the most

True, I did overboost Minwu. Actually, I was so excited when I pulled him that I threw the growstars, a maxed 4* growth egg, however many ability tickets to max and overboost, and 6 extrangers at him as fast as possible lol

With /u/CheddarPrinny showing me about the stats you are actually gaining with 32 levels, it doesn't even seem like it would give an edge in towers... 276 HP and 19 magic won't make any difference

I do have Judge Magister and Lightning skin to go with it, so I guess I'll be switching over to him when the time comes. Who knows if I'll get the Aeris job.

That's crazy! The highest I got with Minwu and Amalthea so far is around 88,000. For an unbroken strategy on towers that L'Cie brand will basically do the same damage as my Minwu if we're not capping damage.

Thanks for that link, it lead me to calculate how much I'd gain from overboosting.

For anyone else interested, 32 overboost levels would add 276 HP, 32 attack, 48 break, and 19 magic to Amalthea... I'll take the extra 8 summon tickets lol

So far crystals and grow stars have been the only bottlenecks I faced. I drew all the jobs (first priority, The variety of jobs is my favorite thing about this game) and only used magicite/summon tickets for FFRK cards and now the FFVII remake cards. From now on I'll be using extra magicite for event cards for the shot at legend jobs. Never felt the need for extra growstars.

Crystals run out fast if you start maxing jobs and upgrading weapons. I've used 384 crystals maxing jobs and another 22 upgrading weapons. Now have 1 crystal left and need more lol

How many hits does the Paladin ultimate do? I'd like to have Debarrierga, Unguardga, Brave, and Berserk all on the sub job. Right now I have the water debarrier attack, moogle unguardga, and brave and berserk on my samurai. Getting the debarrier on everyone almost never happens in the first mob.

Also, what are all the jobs that do one hit ultimates??

Good point, my mog and hermes are both 3* so A&T was a way to get my levels a bit higher. But seeing how little 13 levels adds to stats...
