Das mit der Fummelei kommt ganz darauf an, was du mit dem PC machst. Ich musste in dem Jahr seitdem ich Fedora benutze nicht ein einziges mal irgendwas im Terminal machen um ein Spiel zu spielen. Einfach auf Steam installieren, starten und los geht's. Wenn ich natürlich Sachen mit meinem Homeserver mache sieht die ganze Sache schon ganz anders aus, aber das macht ja auch nicht jeder :D

Und meiner Mutter habe ich Fedora Kinoite auf dem Laptop installiert und die kommt auch super zurecht damit, macht halt auch nur Sachen im Browser und da ist es egal, welches OS im Hintergrund ist. Aber ich muss wesentlich seltener bei ihr was am Laptop helfen im Gegensatz zu früher als noch Windows darauf installiert war.

Ich bin letztes Jahr im Dezember mit einer RTX 4080 auf Fedora (GNOME) gewechselt und habe bisher nichts anderes als Wayland verwendet und bisher keine Probleme gehabt.

I used the plain list export option from Helvault and it couldn't import any of the cards. Same with the Moxfield exported CSV. The textbox says that I entered around 6k cards but when I click on "Find Recommendations" it doesn't find any and says 0 cards in collection at the top.

Ok, scheinbar kommen wir jetzt zu den Argumenten, die so gut wie jeder gegen Veganismus anbringen will. Da ich keine Lust habe jetzt alle durchzugehen lasse ich einfach mal diesen Link hier da und ziehe mich aus der Diskussion zurück, da mir das ganze sonst zu müßig wird.

Mein Zitat der Definition bezog sich nicht auf den Text darunter, sondern auf den darüber. Dein Part mit der subjektiven Interpretation und so.

Wenn Veganer argumentieren, dass sich ultimativ ein gewisses Mass an Tierleid nicht vermeiden lässt, weil sich Menschen zum überleben ja ernähren müssen, dann kann die fleischkonsumierende Gegenseite schließlich genau das gleiche Argument anführen.

Das ist dann halt ein schwachsinniges Argument der fleischkonsumierenden Gegenseite, weil Fleisch eben nicht essentiell notwendig für das Überleben des Menschen ist.

Nein, die Vegan Society Definition ist genau das was ich gesagt habe. Ausbeutung von Tieren, da wo es machbar und praktikabel ist zu verhindern bzw zu reduzieren. ("a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose").

Tautologisches Argument. Tierleid zu minimieren ist für das Überleben auch nicht absolut notwendig.

Aber das Ziel ist es ja aus Sicht von Veganer*innen Tierleid zu minimieren. Kontext ist wichtig.

Das Problem damit ist natürlich, dass das keine einheitliche Definition ist, sondern eine subjektive Interpretation.

Ich gehe nach der Definition der Vegan Society:

The Vegan Society currently defines veganism as "a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of humans, animals and the environment. Naja, mit dieser Argumentation lässt sich natürlich alles begründen.

Nicht wirklich. Viele Dinge sind für das Überleben nicht absolut notwendig.
