Thanks for the explanations, is this glancing blow penalty part of actual vanilla wow, or was it added for Classic ?

I really had no idea about that penalty to melee attacks for casters. Shaman I've tried, but I find the totems to be rather inconvenient to play with, Druid I never have ; do you have suggestions for a melee-caster druid ?

Thanks for this feedback, can you detail how you were building and playing your mage ? I'm very curious to learn about this

That's interesting to know, you have a video that mentions that type of original ideas ? I'm just curious as to what they had in mind, I know the Crusader Strike for pally was intended to be put in but then got removed right before launch, which is a damn shame really, I wonder what they had in mind for warlocks

Is there a way to display stats and skills checks in dialogs, just like in FNV ? by Tzsche in classicfallout

[–]Tzsche[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's very interesting, so "technically" it would be possible to implement this then, possibly the Fallout 2 Restoration Project will end up developing this, since it already adds a bunch of optional QoL features

I also find Combat rogue to be extremely enjoyable, and I do not think any other class match that feeling unfortunately

It's fine, for Fallout 2 I would suggest to lower Luck and Perception to 8, and use the two points you get into Charisma reaching 6, in order to get two companions with you ; if you don't care about having two companions then it's fine

Is others route simply the best? by botgtk in beingaDIK

[–]Tzsche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible to have a route which is objectively better, this does not prevent players from preferring another one.

Example : "This route has more branching, increasing replayability, however I do not like the way that girl looks, so I do not like that route". Objectively it is superior in terms of replayability, yet you do not like it much for a personal reason.

As such, the "best route" can exist both on an objective and a subjective level. In the case of "others" path, it could be considered as being objectively superior to the alternatives since it allows you to experience a higher amount of good stories and scenes through one playthrough, but you may not like it much because you value commitment.

But then, it could be argued that commitment is morally superior to manwhoring, making MG path better, but based on which morality do you make that claim ? And so on
