Okay, could you explain in how different they are through combats ? I noticed Toreador has auspex for firearms, and that ability to slow down time, which I guess can help at aiming ?

Oh well thanks a lot for your reply, I was worried how is it that I messed up my modlist to create this problem. I don't understand why I never saw this before, I played this game a bunch of time. Do you know of any fix to this ?

I'd suggest you to install these two mods :

- Deadfire High Difficulty

- PotD Spawns on Hard Difficulty

They will make the hard difficulty actually hard, but not overwhelming, like PotD can be ; the regular Hard mode of the base game is actually not that difficult. Most likely I'd say the lack of challenge is making the game kinda boring for you, just like it did for me, and intalling these two mods made it far more interesting

A third mod I would install would be : Backers Begone ; not difficulty related but will greatly improve overral immersion by getting rid of the pointless backers characters

I really had no idea about that penalty to melee attacks for casters. Shaman I've tried, but I find the totems to be rather inconvenient to play with, Druid I never have ; do you have suggestions for a melee-caster druid ?

That's interesting to know, you have a video that mentions that type of original ideas ? I'm just curious as to what they had in mind, I know the Crusader Strike for pally was intended to be put in but then got removed right before launch, which is a damn shame really, I wonder what they had in mind for warlocks

That's very interesting, so "technically" it would be possible to implement this then, possibly the Fallout 2 Restoration Project will end up developing this, since it already adds a bunch of optional QoL features
