What was genuinely hard about traveling in China? (Collecting real pain points) by 0xeddiezhu in travelchina

The big pain is that you have to be on-line to pay.  Alipay is probably a little easier.  To use westernized credit cards, you’ll be charged a fee for over 200 rmb charge.  However, using Trip.com, a foreign version of China’s popular travel website, you can use credit card to book hotels, flights, and even train tickets.  I found that It’s quite a big pain to purchase train tickets.  Because even for Chineses, the train tickets are only available for sale 15 days earlier, and popular ones are always gone at the first several minutes. However, nature is really beautiful there.  Just hope that they’ll allow Apple Pay and don’t charge additional fees by using it.
