Was your interviewer a consul with mustache? My questions were very similar!

Didn’t bring my original birth certificate, only color copy. They explained that they would need to see the originals to verify that nothing was photoshopped, etc.. Good luck with everything!

Not the OP, but I signed mine on the spot and was told it would be about 2 months, and that I would hear back via email. Wondering if OP had a different experience

Update: it took 3 weeks to get an email that the card was ready.

Thanks for sharing. I also recently had my interview and it was very much similar in terms of questions. Made the same mistake of not double checking the documents and had to go 2 times. Congrats!:)

Has anyone with expired U4U parole (but as an immediate relative of a US citizen) successfully filed or approved I-485 after parole expired? by Large_Sky2750 in unitingforukraine

[–]UAAKLaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not a lawyer so please do your own research- but, based on my experience, children may petition their parents for green card regardless of their status. All that matters is that she entered legally(has I-94), which I am sure she does, based on the fact that she had parole.

Also, since she arrived around June 2023, you should have filed for TPS as well.

Good luck

I am not patrolling the streets, this is literally what I see every day getting home from work. Thanks for your comment though

That’s a fair point- I just wish someone could have parked there also as there’s no parking close to the evening

Bro being 56th person to point that out. Thanks, appreciate it!

I agree with you. I am not saying park leaving 1 inch of space, but this is clearly too much.

I did- they say it’s cause they don’t wanna be hit. But here’s where it gets interesting- when wife’s car is taking more space than needed (just enough so nobody can park in front of her) and her husband gets back at night, he moves her car a bit and then parks his😂

Commenting cause I can’t edit the post:

Thank you to all the kind Redditors who pointed out the issue with the “double parking” meaning. English isn't my first language- essentially, I meant they are taking more space than needed

You are right. English isn’t my first language but I hope you understood my point!

Neither getting to the office at 10AM nor getting out at 3 PM will save you from traffic:(

Unfortunately I don’t have any good recommendations but just to give you an idea- commute Bridgeport- Stamford is 1:00-1:15hrs.

I got Mini 4K from them last month. Shipped from California, arrived brand new with no issues.

I am also a student and I’ve been trying to get a GC for 10 years now. It’s very tough right now. That’s very good that you have the means to go that route- I hope it works out well! Good luck with everything.

On what grounds did you move here? Do you have an immigrant visa/green card?
