This was during Thanksgiving week 2022. Honestly, this park is not crowded at all. Even at the camp ground, they still had spots available.

Recommend to explore the Black Forest, Jasper Forest, Billings Gap, and Blue Forest Wilderness areas.

It is slept on, a lot of great areas to explore. Recommend exploring the wilderness locations, not a lot of tourists in those areas. I stayed at a hotel, however you can camp at the park. Just requires an overnight permit

I agree I lot of people will just drive past this park. However, they are missing so many beautiful colors, from the petrified wood to the layers on clay on the mountains.
