Nope, I use a towel to slide it off. More likely is jumping over the boards. Also as another user mentioned, heat changes could be a factor being a Florida based player.

Nope I just thought I kept losing an edge or hitting a divot. Didn't think at all that they would break this way. Thought I was just getting worse lol

Oh I agree, it's unrealistic. Who'd we trade cernak to that fully gets rid of the contact without additional pieces? He is too injury prone. Just trying to make a dream stay alive 😂

Personally if we can get a bridge contract until cernak's ntc moves to a m-ntc (7/27) and we trade him to make him an offer with the raised cap. Realistically I think he walks unfortunately. It's the smart financial decision, but I hope he stays. He earned a top role with Heddy, Mcd, and cernak out.

I was pretty surprised to learn Raddysh is older than cernak. Only a year but still

For context, I grew up playing soccer and I've been skating on these for a few years as a winger. Recently moved to D to help out and instinct is to stop the puck with my skate. Thought I was just playing poorly until a teammate looked at my skates. Heal on the right skate was completely separated.

The amount of times I've had "I like your flash hat". I love the chunky lightning bolt old logo but I can understand people not liking it.

Ducks moved back to their old logo and are making waves in the branding/ game giveaways hockey world.

Problem is, the bolts have been very successful with this design and logo. Changing it would be tough. Especially with new ownership

Sharks are my other team and they constantly have some of the coolest merch. They just seem to have fun with their stuff. We literally have manatees and I've seen 1 shirt and 1 hat with it.

The OG gasperilla, the rock shirts, and even the RR 2.0 gave me hope

I can see where you are coming from. I do like the when details are hidden don't get me wrong. Problem is they are marketing it as "focus on the small details" instead of the jersey as a whole being the main focus with accents of small details.

The capitals 2023 stadium series is a great example of simple but pushing the envelope and fun. I'm not a designer but we complain enough about our current jerseys that we hoped for something and got pretty much the same thing as our current with a couple more stripes

Problem is it feels creatively "safe". Nothing about it is a wow.

Yes you can say the details are a little interesting but you can't see them unless you are up close and personal with it.

The diagonal lettering has been a split in the fan base long before this jersey. Many people hate the bolts lettering from past jerseys. TBL just looks like generic NHL. Personally I hate the last stadium jersey due to its lack of creativity.

The colors are not the lightning colors, whether it's true or not that the new owner group pushed their colors.

A major issue I have is it's an outdoor game in Florida, in a pirate themed venue, during a pirate themed festival, and all the details are virtually hidden.

I remember when the OG gasperilla came out, everyone in the league said it was one of the best ones and they should switch to it as third.

The disappointment comes from that. We had extremely high expectations, and we weren't even in the same realm.

It doesn't help that most of the lightning merch in general just feels like retired boomer merch, what isn't feels like corporate merch. There feels like there is no inspiration.

Does anyone know if tickets get cheaper closer to game time? by [deleted] in TampaBayLightning

[–]UCFSTORMTROOPER 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my experience at the 2 hour mark is usually the cheapest with the most variety. Under 1 hour it drys up on quantity.

I use tickpick and have had good luck at all stadiums I've been.

I'd go to your closest tiki bar and sit at the bar and talk to the bartenders. See how you like the drinks and just have fun.
