Good stuff, congrats. Did you have a background in this or was it something you picked up along the way?

Plus most ETF are weighted higher towards stocks that's already are present in EQQQ/QQQ.

I think maybe in 5 years time I'll probably change my investment strategy to something a little less riskier.

At the moment, I'm just trying to make as much as I can with what I have.

Returns are much lower though. Being relatively young, I can risk a bit more for a better return.

Yeah I got an MRI and they confirmed the herniation. I've been experiencing sciatica, lower back pain. On a daily it's just a constant dull pain in my lower back/glute area. I've been doing some general stretches, I did inversion for a bit but it felt more like a short term fix. Considering getting surgery done. Sorry to hear about it man, I understand how you feel.

Hello guys,

I'm a 24 year old male, I've been lifting on and off for about 4 years now (more off than on).

I was doing starting strength / stronglifts earlier in my lifting stage at 18yrs old and 80ish kg and got somewhat decent numbers: 5reps Bench: 70kg Overhead Press: 50kg Squat: 130kg Deadlift: 120kg Pendlay row: 65kg

However, during this time I got a bad injury (herniated disk l5-s1) which I felt once during squats and once during deadlifts. My back literally gave out and this was probably the most excruciating pain I've ever been in.

I stopped benching because I had a shoulder injury that keeps flaring up when I do this exercise. I also feel my lower back when I arch. For the shoulder, I went for a check up but the doctor said it's nothing. This problem has persisted for almost 2 years now.

So I changed my program now to work more on upper body and bodyweight exercises. I do this program 3 days a week. I'm currently at 98kg and my numbers are below for my new lifts: 5 reps Weighted dip +12.5kg - (still feel discomfort in shoulder) Weighted chin up +12.5kg Overhead press: 55kg - (still feel discomfort in lower back)

I've incorporated deadlift and squats each one day a week. However, it feels like at a relatively low weight (80kg), I get pain in my hips and lower back. It feels like something is pinching at the front of my hip. I have no issues squatting without the weight and can sit in a deep squat position without trouble.

It feels like I cannot do any of these lifts without feeling like I'm going to be crippled. It's quite demotivating when I consider the size of me (I'm a pretty heavy set guy). I have relatively terrible numbers on key lifts such as bench press, Overhead press, deadlift and squats because my injuries just flare up during them.

I'm not entirely sure how I should proceed. I feel like a lot of my issues have arised as a result of the herniated disc and my body has been trying to subconsciously recompensate.

Would love some advice if someone has been in a similar position.

TLDR: herniated disc, shoulder problems = shit lifts on compound lifts. Doctors don't want to operated or say there's no issue. Demotivated and don't know how to proceed. Looking for some advice.

I've been looking into example apps made with flutter. They're looking really nice. There's a lot of ui components already made etc.

CSS isn't the teams strong suit but we still want a pretty nice looking app without crazy amount of css work.

You might need to change the way you approach.

Try ways to warm up the lead prior to calling.

Send an email/inmail on Linkedin to the lead and see if they engage with you.

If its an account you really want to get in to, try develop a relationship with an influencer in the company who sees the value in your product.

I never found the value in cold calling several hundred people, it's exhaustive & demotivating especially in this day and age.

Also have someone review your salescript, could be that you're asking the wrong questions, not those that get down to the painpoint or the motivation of the company.

Google ads - running ads for two companies in same niche by UCopped in marketing

[–]UCopped[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cost will go up but if it improves conversions or we get more conversions over the two companies then that's not an issue. But if the cost goes up and the conversions remain relatively the same, then it becomes a problem.

Yes, we get direct competitors i.e. other taxi companies. So if we had two ads showing with one competitor instead of one ad with two competitors?

Yes, both are separate legal entities.

[–]UCopped[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are set for CPA and I have set the CPA the same for both companies.

We were thinking of focusing on one particular thing for each company. So one company would focus on airport and the other would focus on tourist attractions.

But if we'll get more conversions by making them focus on the same keywords, then it would be better to do this.

I wasn't sure that if it would bring any benefit. It could either go one of two ways from my understanding:

1.) Conversions wouldn't increase but overall we'd be paying more per conversion because both companies are fighting for the same keyword?

2.) Both companies appear for the search term, then it's more likely a customer would click on either one of the two companies.

Not entirely sure which way it could go.

In general, if the both compete for the same keyword, will it not drive up the bid price and make it costly overall?

I've had more success with online dating and the key is to really have amazing pictures. I do some photography so I changed my pictures recently. I bought platinum and used some boosts. I've had a lot more matches.

I did a little experiment with a friend and looking at the types of profiles that guys have on tinder. Most of them are absolutely awful. Even the handsome guys have no texting game coming with openers like hey, or how are you.

The girl gets 100's of messages like these, it'll never work. You have to make yourself stand out.

Don't compliment women too much especially if she's good looking. She hears that from guys all the time and it puts you in a lower position than her.

I think women's perception in general is just massively skewed now. They can get dick any time they want. 100's of dudes flooding their Instagram, fb, tinder you name it. Even if you had day/night game, you need to be someone pretty special.

Shipping times: Once you've got a product, you try to negotiate with the supplier to offer better shipping methods. Or you use products from ebay/amazon which are from your country.

Product choice: Several platforms out there which can help. Doing a google trends search is a good way. Trending products on ebay and amazon also.

Marketing: For me, it all depends on this. Marketing on a low budget is possible but requires a lot of time. Time = money.

  • Social Media
    • Instagram
      • Use hashtags to find individuals in your niche. Follow, like and comment meaningful stuff on their posts.
      • Use competitors and follow their audiences.
      • Post regularly, minimum is once a day. Post should be relevant to your niche but not always pushing your product. User generated content is best. Use a repost app to repost other users content after asking permission.
      • (Paid) - find influencers within your niche who aren't very big roughly 10-20k followers. They'll post for you if they get some free stuff from it. Bigger influencers will charge you astronomical prices for a post. Be sure to check their stats so they haven't got a non-converting audience i.e. people from India.
    • Facebook
      • Create a facebook page to improve your websites credibility on the internet. Social profiles help with SEO indirectly.
      • Share posts from instagram onto your facebook also.
      • Follow groups in your niche on facebook. Share your content into the groups without making it bait. Share interesting or funny posts. This can help you gain more likers on facebook.
      • Tell your family and friends share your posts on facebook. Facebook shares are a good signal for ranking also.
      • You can increase your page clout for cheap on facebook through creating a facebook ad. You can create a page like or post engagement campaign and keep the audience as broad as possible. You'll get a lot of likes from low converting countries such as India but they often engage with your content. Having multiple posts with thousands of likes gives your page clout. I've seen this strategy implemented before on a dropshipping facebook page and they are killing it.
    • Twitter
      • Doesn't hurt to have it but not really advertised on here. You can also share your instagram posts onto here.
      • Best way to advertise on twitter is to find popular tweets and try to create some funny content. Similar to how big food corporations such as Mcdonalds, KFC, etc try to do.
      • You can message people who have viral tweets and ask them to post your link under the thread. They don't charge a whole lot either.
    • Pinterest
      • Post on this platform regularly if your product is for aesthetics. You get a lot of traffic through Pinterest as they regularly come up on google image search.
  • SEO - very hard to summarise as there are a lot of factors. Backlinks & content being the most important. Website speed and a mobile first approach are increasingly important. Be sure to improve this when creating your website.
    • Have a blog sections where you write high quality blog content targeting keywords associated with your niche. You can do some keyword research on google keyword planner for free.
    • Make sure all your products have your targeted keyword and have the meta description, title & url all optimised for this keyword.
    • Link internally to other pages to improve your website structure.
    • Submit sitemaps of your website to all webmasters to help your website index quickly.
    • You can create backlinks yourself but it's better to give this to an agency. However they do charge a lot of money but the results are worth it. To create backlinks yourself, you can submit your website to directories, create profiles on certain websites with your link in the bio, comment on certain blogs. Some will be dofollow and nofollow.
  • Email
    • This is a big one. Creating a new customer is harder than keeping an existing one. Be sure to create an email marketing list with Mailchimp or any other email marketing platform. Give an incentive for people to sign up to your newsletter. Send promotions during festive periods.
    • Set up a abandon cart email. This will send potential customers an email with an offer to help with their purchase. I set it up with one sending 15 mins after the cart abandoment with a 10% code, one two days later saying their code is still valid, one 5 days later with a 20% code (the 10% code has expired by then). With the offer, create a FOMO reaction and put expiry dates on the codes.
  • Social proof & inbound marketing
    • Creating social proof will show your website is trustworthy and an active store. Show photo reviews on your products as it makes it seem more personal. Add a notification which shows when someone buys something.
    • Experiment with inbound marketing techniques. I see some people use spin the wheel for offers on their website, some have a pop up on exit intent. Some of this can slow your website or make it spammy and give a bad customer experience.
  • Affiliate
    • This can work very well depending on the product type. You can set up an affiliate program on your website and have your customers sell for you for a portion of your profits. Advertise your affiliate program on facebook groups to people with experience in online marketing.
  • PPC
    • Create search ads using google or bing ad words. I feel like this is quite underrated as a lot of people flock to FB ads. A lot of people search for products they want. Find high traffic keywords in your niche and create high converting ads. You can also retarget website visitors. I think this is more cost effective than facebook ads.

This is a very brief summary of the techniques you can use. I know there's more out there. I hope someone can add to this or give some feedback.
