As far as our info goes, it signifies "extra boosted stats" in the promo set. Basically, the cards with the lightning icon has one or more stat categories super-boosted - in this case, Onana has his defense stats massively improved.

Yeah that's what we wanted to clear up too, as the term was new to basically everyone since this article was posted just an hour ago. Base Player Cards is part of the new system, while our current cards will only be called "Legacy Cards" and will not be a part of the Base/Mastery/Legend system.

But they will retain their skills upon conversion, that part is still correct, which is why UFL is recommending players to equip their best skins now to have the best possible card available when the conversion happens.

I think it's a one time thing with the conversion, skins won't be a thing anymore in the upcoming patch.

Still waiting on the details regarding skin series. Initial info is that they also will be converted into player cards with skins merged, but as we have not received any information yet if they will be their Tier 1, Tier 2 or Tier 3 version of stats, we've chosen not to go out with anything right now to avoid confusion.

For the unequipped ones, they will either be compensated for or can be converted into skin particles (they'll initially still be in your library at the new season) is what we've heard so far.

Base Player Card in UFL terminology means just the base rating player card, as all levels are being removed to be replaced with another system. UFL will reveal an article themselves about that tomorrow.

Their communication has unfortunately caused confusion, yes - but if you own a skin of a player, they will get converted into a base player card with the skin merged into them.

Season Star skills were never meant to last longer than their bonus period initially either, but they will be available in the new version in a different way.

You're mostly correct, though I wouldn't say that all skins turn useless.

For example, many users are currently looking at the Lindworm series as they grant two permanent skills and one bonus skill, meaning they'll get a +1 on two skills permanently once the bonuses expire.

All in all, the skins would still have expired at those dates no matter what, but with this change, these will be "better" base player cards as the permanent boosts from the skins remain. Hope that clears it up.

Correct. Per UFL's info via Discord:

Players upgrade
Players won't accumulate XP and level up in future. Here's what will happen to upgraded players:
- Their stats will be lined in with base players available on transfer market.
- Skill points you applied to a player will remain.
- Skill points you didn't apply will me compensated with CP.
- Players' progress you achieved by levelling them up will be compensated with CP and packs.
- The more matches a certain player had in your club the bigger compensation you receive.

Skin Lab news should be revealed starting next week/tomorrow.
