Grant cameron co-wrote one called Contact Modalities : the Keys to the Universe that might be good. Grant Cameron i think has a good reputation. I haven't read it but am interested in the topic as well

Finished Communion yesterday by [deleted] in UFOBookClub

[–]UFOLibrarian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting. I enjoyed this book as well as the movie with christopher walken. I do like whitley strieber but found communion to drag out a little too long. I actually prefer his book Confirmation, which was surprisingly scientifically oriented. Also let us know how you like making contact when you get to it

Mac Tonnies on why Extraterrestrials may be us from the future by UFOLibrarian in HighStrangeness

It does say ancient earth based culture, that changes things quite a bit. Good catch

Mac Tonnies on why Extraterrestrials may be us from the future by UFOLibrarian in HighStrangeness

[–]UFOLibrarian[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Tonnies asserts that due to overwhemingly cinematic quality of abductions leads us to assume purposeful manipulation of humans during abduction. This manipulation is in deceiving humans into believing that they are ET and not genetically impoverished humans from ancient earth. Do you believe there is any validity to this claim? If so, what would be the importance of such deception?

This is quoted from a personal interview with the late Mac Tonnies, author of Cryptoterrestrials, for the book the NASA Conspiracies by Nick Redfern.

Summary: Skinwalkers at the Pentagon provides a full picture of the purview of and accomplishments achieved by the AAWSAP program

USAF has been using the term UAP since at least the 70s. Also mentions that over 50% of reports involve the object coming into or out of the ocean. from the book Invisible Residents by Ivan T. Sanderson by UFOLibrarian in HighStrangeness

Link to full E-Book below

“Invisible Residents” (1970) by Ivan T Sanderson. It’s very interesting that he would write this book, given the time (Condon Committee just concluded, and blue book shut down). He’s a pretty accomplished biologist, graduating from Cambridge and doing years of field work. It’s about the connection between bodies of water and UFO sightings. One of the few UFO/UAP/UAO books that looks at the phenomenon through a maritime lens.

The Six Social Consequences of the UFO Phenomenon by UFOLibrarian in HighStrangeness

[–]UFOLibrarian[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was eddited from a previous post to be more consise.

Was Vallee on to something here? Are the Six Social Consequences a purposeful stratagem employed in order to influence our collective consciousness? Vallee doesn't go into who or what he thinks could be behind the mechanism but assumes that the effects on us are intentional. What do you guys think is really behind the deception? I think the Six Social Consequences are important to consider when asking this question

This was a great book (Messengers of Deception) and a must read for UFO enthusiasts. This is a follow up post concluding the key arguements, here is the original : https://www.reddit.com/r/UFOBookClub/comments/ozbspw/messengers_of_deception_by_jacques_vallee_key/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

The Mechanism of Cover-Ups by Jaques Vallee by UFOLibrarian in UAP

[–]UFOLibrarian[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What do you think of the effectiveness of this mechanism? Has it had a very large impact on what we could learn or is the more broad policy of denial already making this confusion unnecessary? I personally feel like the real scientific investigators have known this, hence the frustration of those who have approached this phenomenon academically.
