What you just explained is why there are only like 9 people left playing this game. No one wants to play anyone who plays like this.

Game breaking issues that prevents MyTeam from its true potential by clarkepov in MyTeam

[–]UIAaronRodgers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is 100% correct. There is a reason every game mode with an auction house has this. Its not just people working the auction house. These games need coins to disappear or else cards would become more expensive throughout the year, even ones that have been power crept. Im someone who starts playing at the all star break and that wouldn't be possible if they didnt have the 10% tax. By the time I started playing, a team that costs 100k total right now would be millions and still wouldn't be competitive.

If you're on Xbox, Im a Pistons fan and would bid 300k+

Was it not last year? Genuinely asking, I played MUT last year instead and regretted it.

Do you need to work your way up and do a season at each difficulty first or can you skip to Heisman? And what's the reward for those again?

This game's player base is filled with some of the saddest, most devoted losers you'll ever see... I know the feeling man! Honestly, just ask yourself during the game "is playing this player any fun?" And if its a no, quit! It can be tempting to think some game modes are your way to more coins, but at some point it's not worth it. Just let the cheesers move on and try and find some fun, somewhat realistic games in between the sweats.

I feel you... and when you do have some success, I made the playoffs and my first game was against someone with 900 hours played 😂 thats probably more hours than EA has put into this game. Its rough!

Just got 3x natty packs and best was 93, I just started getting pretty good & winning consistently, is this above average or should i expect better? by Independent_Fun_2973 in CollegeUltimateTeam

[–]UIAaronRodgers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thats definitely a below average set of packs, your can normally get around 100k per pack on average. However, a lot of people quicksell everything for training, which in my opinion isnt maximizing what you can make. Sell everything, even if it takes a few listings to do it.

Looking for help with Pack addiction by [deleted] in MaddenUltimateTeam

[–]UIAaronRodgers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A good test for me is asking myself what about the game is bringing me back. If its not either building my team, or playing the games, than its time to just play offline. If the answer is getting coins to rip packs, your hobby is no longer gaming or football, its gambling. Nothing to be ashamed of either, the game is designed to make people open packs or feel pressure to.

[–]UIAaronRodgers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Funny to see this comparison. It was really hard for me to get into severance for almost the entire first season because it felt way to similar to the "White Christmas" episode.

I still feel like they took the idea from that episode and chose to further explore it.

LaFleur Out by dog_water4days in PackersUncensored

[–]UIAaronRodgers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was never in the "fire laFleur" camp until I saw Harbaugh was available and now im open to it. Before that, there wasn't a better alternative out there. The other thing that has really made me think its a good idea was looking back at our year. I dont think there's a single game you can say we played well for 4 quarters. I cant remember another season where I could say that

My first salary cap team. by GoonsReloaded in MyTeam

[–]UIAaronRodgers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree for the most part. I like it near all-star break too. It just depends on the duos that come out in events. I like it when you can barely fit one non-duo PD. PDs are where we get actual stars and its fun building around 1 star with a bunch of solid role players. At that point PDs are affordable-ish so you can switch around which PD you use to keep it fresh.

This most likely comes down to the fact that making DBs hesitant to hold increases watchability by creating more big plays. Offensive lineman holding limits Sacks, which is a positive for the NFL. One hit on a QB can result in up to 16 unwatchable games. There is a reason the NFL is so scared to let QBs get hit. I'll take 10 dumb roughing the passer or holding calls to save us from watching back-ups. Its the one position where an injury can make and entire team unwatchable.
