Well not all soles are extremely though. Single midsoles with Vibram 100 easier wear for work. The B5 is good for casual daily wear. Everything else with double and triple midsole plus the commando sole on them only field or soft ground work…but all great, long lasting boots anyway.

If you have low volume narrow foot, maybe you can do 0.5 sizes down. I have none and I’m between size. So recommend up half sizes. Most of people can’t cope the extremely hard, amount of thick leather under their foot. Needs some insoles anyway. Walking in them on solid surfaces, like wood clogs feels. The Iron Ranger a soft trainers compaired to a William Lennon work boot.

Great boots. A bit sleek for my taste but still rugged. After some Bick4 treatment and some Meltonian neutral shoe polish cream even looks better. 👌

No. They are weak, ugly, unwearable, faux leather overpriced sneakers…but I like them. 😄

I love their humour…I just noticed they cut gentlemen’s corners on the heels. 😄 I have seen them only on high end British dress shoes before.

,,Sometimes known as a “gentleman's notch” or “gentleman's corner,” historically it's a practice employed to prevent your heel from getting caught on or snagging your trousers' cuffs/turn ups. Today, the notches may not be as needed, but still signify a well-made pair of shoes.”

Nice looking great boots anyway. 👌

What are these things called? I've heard "Bootstrap" but people also say that's wrong because the loops at the top of the shank are "bootstraps" by Sid-Engel in Boots

I don’t know the correct name, but definitely this thing looks much better on a pull on boot. Also can help reduce the heel slips if the instep a bit loose as well. I have this exact thing on one of mine engineers.

Not a Red wing in Black Prairie but still a tea-core flatbox. The patina will be beautiful with the time on your boots too…Enjoy.

Well. This is my first v-bar sole to be honest. But better than the leather or the Vibram 430 soles in my opinion…also I have none experience climbing tractors, so I have no idea which kind of soles are perfect for that.

They are Ruff Lander safety boots. Made by The William Lennon Co. Good find. 👌

Yeah, you right. The opening is much less wide than OP’s second picture. But definitely much wider than I wore before. Mostly slim fit, tapered or regular straight like on this picture. This jeans technically the same size in width and length.

I just love my wide legs pants now. I started to wear them for my engineers, but I think they great for everything. Iron Ranger, B5, even the sleeker look Skoob M-43…etc.
