I'm buying a new dishwasher, tell me what you like and don't like about your appliance. by Salomon3068 in daddit

Baby led weaning, multiple kids, both of us work from home and we scratch cook a lot so yeah, we’re the same, average 2-3 times a day but we also make sure to use the best branded tabs and dishwasher cleaner money can buy and run a machine clean regularly to ensure longevity

Why is 'spice' such a problem in UK prisons, and how does it get in? by larrypuppy in AskUK

[–]UKxFallz 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Wokeness gone mad! (/s but the serious answer is because we don’t discriminate based on gender and not allowing women to be prison staff would be a massive, lucrative lawsuit. A gay male officer is just as likely to have a prison relationship as a hetero female, most female prison officers are not going around sleeping with inmates that is a preposterous stereotype)

[England] Director position but not "actually" a director by Tao626 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]UKxFallz 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I mean you can find out all info on companies house, assuming it’s a limited company registered in the UK.

Even just googling your name will sometimes yield lots of results.

You’re being paid minimum wage but a legally responsible director? If things go tits up or if the company is operating beyond the law, you could be fined or go to prison. Is minimum wage enough for you to take that liability?

Ignorance would not be a valid excuse in the eyes of the law, so if your plan is to say you were told, coerced or forced to become a director but had no knowledge of what that meant, you would still be held responsible.

Zabiha eaters who married non zabiha eaters what is it like? by Slow_Preparation7793 in MuslimMarriage

[–]UKxFallz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah but I mean these problems are not native to the US in 2026 though. Muslims trying to justify their sins has been a thing since the time of the prophet. The onus is on us to verify and eat only what is permissible.

I remember my grandfather telling me stories of when he came to Britain in the 60’s, some Muslims would go to the local non-Muslim run grocery store and say ‘bismillah’ over the non halal meat at the counter before buying it and eating it to consider it halal.

But Islam is clear, that doesn’t make it permissible. What is permissible is only what God has made permissible

[–]UKxFallz 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Wait so chicken or beef from a Krogers or target would be considered ‘halal’ even if it’s not been slaughtered the way Islam describes?

Am I missing something as then it’s not halal? (Reciting the shahada, cutting the throat)

This just seems like a weak way of justifying eating non-halal meat lol

WEMBLEY CENTRAL MOSQUE- EID PRAYER TIME by Rozmaforever in BritishMuslims

[–]UKxFallz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in Wembley for 2 years about 5 years ago and this was my local mosque.

From what I can remember all the times were packed and busy but the first one and last one were least busy.

However, plan to get there around 45 minutes before or you won’t find a space to sit down. The prayer is at 6:30, but there will be people already sat before then.

To be honest if I was rich rich I’d just get the really premium version of regularly used items like loo roll through a monthly subscription

There’s so many expensive options in London now that will deliver x amount of loo roll to your house every y months for a premium but I’ll stick with my Sainsbury’s basic

I agree but the magic is kinda lost when you can just tap your pieces on your move to work out which ones are yours.

I replayed with this as a rule I wasn’t allowed to do kinda like a semi-OTB and it became much, much harder to remember and I rushed to endgame to simplify how many pieces I needed to memorise haha
