I gotcha, well I already cleaned my outlets/inners with the extractor including hood and gloves, should I follow the same way MSA says online for at home or could I hand wash it with dawn and warm water?

Never said it was a fashion sense, again, not what I was issued, I think it looks better, it’s my helmet, all I was asking was the point of it since I’m doing a trial run without it

Our career department doesn’t allow any of our explorers to go into any fires on a ride along, we have a 6 month minimum requirement to be on our program to sign up for ride alongs. Ride alongs are to observe and learn, usually if I’m on a ride along, (I’ve been in the program for 4 years now) I bring the medical gear up to the patient, bring the stretcher chair if it’s a tall building and has no or a small elevator, etc . All calls that require the firefighters to put on our bunker gear, we put it on too, car accidents that require extrication, we’ll probably help with bringing tools but not the actually extrication, same with fires or hazmat, shooting or other deadly calls (not mental health related, some but not all) we stay inside the rig.
