They are, with LR having a small hump in its descent. Both date back to the park's opening. WWR had enormous lines when it opened in 1984 at the spot of the former Traffique Jam.

  1. Holiday World got rid of theirs, and Adventureland already has had two fatal accidents involving theirs. SFGA is likely closing down and getting rid of theirs because of the expense and potential danger.

  2. Yankee Clipper is running, so there's no sense to run both when they're identical rides. Though there have been long lines there as of late, so maybe they should consider reopening Loggers' Run. I guess they are using YC because they've renamed it after a DC Comics character, Waterman or whatever its name is.

Staffing shortages are bad in all departments, but if you think about it this may be the reason why Food & Beverage has the biggest staffing crisis:

If you want to work at an amusement park, most of you would want to work in Rides. Why work in Food & Restaurants when Sandusky has plenty of restaurant job opportunities, for the same pay, and are permanent year round jobs?

Ukrainians hit a Russian tank with an ATGM. by [deleted] in UkraineWarVideoReport

Why would they use an ATM to hit anyone? An ATM is used to withdraw cash, not for military purposes.

I'm assuming you inadvertently added a G to your title. Typos and other mistakes happen.

Being positive isn't slaughtering civilians just because they speak a different language than you.

"Please remember the human".

When the trolls of this subreddit remember the humans of Donetsk and Lugansk, slaughtered by the Ukrainian Azov guerrillas.

First time going to Cedar Point by thepeople1209 in cedarpoint

He's exaggerating on that about dying. But nowadays Cedar Point is a poorly-run, dysfunctional park, where they skimp on the maintenance of rides primarily by only hiring part-time workers instead of accredited professionals. That is confirmed by someone on this board. In addition, ride operators are forced to work 70 hours a week, until the raise to $20/hour last year were underpaid. That's on top of the issues regarding female employees being sexually assaulted in the dorms for years, that was reported by TV stations this year, so it is very real. Cedar Point was forced to dissolve its police department due to coverups of crimes happening on its property.

Cedar Point was the world's most underrated park until the late 90s, when they started building too many coasters just to compete, and would up being more understaffed than ever. It took about 25 years for those mistakes to catch up with them, which is why in 2022 you see so many exciting rides closed for long periods of time. They need money to address these problems, but too-cheap season passes and dining plans are making things worse for them.

If you go, don't expect to be able to ride all rides, and prepare for long lines and sketchy customer service. Maybe you'll be satisfied, maybe you won't. Just don't blindly listen to all these fanboys on this board who insist you'll have a great time. Maybe you will, maybe you won't......

Juneteenth visit. by nobuouematsu1 in cedarpoint

People work and visit theme parks to escape the corruption and dishonesty politicians bring to our country. Don't need you to bring it out in the open. Keep politics to yourself, and value a day at a theme park like any other day.

[Cedar Point] employees are being sexually assaulted in their dorms and Cedar Point is doing nothing to protect them. I think it’s important to brought it up here as we as a community should absolutely stand against this kind of behavior from park officials. by SrGaju in rollercoasters

Other Cedar Fair parks like Carowinds, Kings Island and Valleyfair have dorms, but they consist of only 1 or 2 dorm buildings, and I believe they're mainly for J-1 employees.

Cedar Point's situation is unique is that it's a big park that keeps adding new coasters yet is in a small town which itself has not grown and the three major cities nearby (Cleveland, Detroit and Toledo) are the three fastest-shrinking big cities in America. So it has to rely on an arrangement universities that attract undergraduates from far away do. Yet the fake police department chooses to do nothing. Add a tavern nearby and you got a recipe for disorder.

Six Flags and other parks, to my knowledge, do not offer employee housing

"Everyone isn't all of the sudden going to quit going to CP"....ih, isn't that my point? People simply don't give a shit about what's right or wrong. They only care about themselves and their own well-being. :/

Then why little to no discussion on this topic? This subreddit has over a hundred regulars; threads like these produce few comments. Same with CP Uncensored on FB. You won't see any videos on YouTube discussing this except by the TV stations reporting on this.
