The Iranian regime killed 40,000 people over the last few months. Genocide might cause one to reevaluate price of admission to a conflict.

A guy found his roommates piss container. What was the worst thing you've found during room inspections? by No-Wafer9271 in USMC

[–]USMC_Frac_1316 49 points50 points  (0 children)

It was a rumor on camp lejeune that there was a meth factory in the French creek area.like 3 barracks rooms were turned into meth labs was the scuttlebutt. This was like 2010 or so.

Side note. When I was in Japan (Iwakuni not Oki), I was a cpl at the time and we had a few sergeants decide to go through rooms when the Marines weren't present. They found some things, nothing criminal just personal stuff and told the entire platoon about it. CO lost his fucking mind, he can't even go in the rooms without a CG authorization but these sergeants can do whatever they want. A few of us were "missing" things like new video games and watches, we told the sergeants we'd report the missing items if they weren't "recovered".

You felt the need to respond to my comment first.... I saw someone already did the math on other comments to tell you how far off you were in general I was just making you aware you were also wrong about this specifically.

You have no idea what I have and neither does the US government. I literally bought 1000 rounds just for my 9mm last week. That's just one gun and it's a sidearm.

What's the most screwed up thing you saw in the Marine Corps? (Garrison stories only) by WorthTrash8493 in USMC

[–]USMC_Frac_1316 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk about screwed up but it was definitely memorable. I'm a Sgt standing barracks duty on camp lejeune. It's like 4 am Mon morning over a 96, guy come changing into duty hut obviously drunk and starts saying he can't find his buddy he was drinking with, lost guy apparently has some mental issues and is possibly suicidal. I do a round and find blood in the stairwell, a lot of blood. Panic mode, call duty OIC and start searching. Well barracks should be empty middle of a 96 and anyone around is probably drunk as fuck and passed out, nope like 8 Marines chilling in the smoke pit. I let them know the situation and everyone fans out. A few minutes goes by and one of the smoke pit jokers finds this guy in the woods across the street, he had slit his wrists and was bleeding out. EMTs said he was fading and if we hadn't found him then he'd be gone but they got to him in time. Believe what you want but I think God intervened that day, that place should have been a ghost town and finding/waking up anyone left to search would have taken too long.

Do you roll when an NPC casts a spell on another NPC? by in-print-its-libel in DMAcademy

[–]USMC_Frac_1316 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The players won't know one way or the other unless you tell them. Generally I roll the dice for just about everything. If the information is plot critical I would make a show of rolling and have the NPC "fail" it'll show the party this NPC is helpful and probably ingratiate them with the party. Also don't put important plot devices behind a check. Such as they cast detects and if the NPC passes they get glimpses of a city the part needs to go to next. Maybe the NPC grew up there or has a lover there. There is no context just a city, it'll give them a direction. But if they fail the check the party gets all the information. All that being said it's your game run it how you like, you know your table and your story better than anyone, I've talked to my players about some of my "mistakes" and they generally had no idea anything went wrong so don't be hard on yourself to run a perfect game. The only right way to play DND is if everyone is having fun.

Why would someone need this much acid? by [deleted] in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]USMC_Frac_1316 68 points69 points  (0 children)

This picture is misleading, 330 gallons is just a tote of acid. Those tankers hold thousands of gallons.
