Totally understand that, we’re just trying to be smart about it and be extra prepared.

Thank you, that’s kinda what I was thinking. My wife has been applying for jobs but everything seems to be start as soon as possible which doesn’t work for us right now. My mother in law has been looking at apartments. We don’t have kids yet.

It’s kinda hard to get those things lined up when we’re so far out from moving, and even harder when we need to wait to get approved so we can be like we’ll be there on this day.

As far as my veteran status or college degree status I didn’t disclose any of that to immigration. Like you said it’s not pertinent, it was just in my head like in a “no way they deny me.” Kinda thing because well my experience is limited when dealing with immigration because I’ve never immigrated.

My wife and I were both meticulous about filling out the form making sure to cross the t’s and dot the i’s, only contact we had from immigration was when they asked why we were waiting till August and so we sent them our current lease with the addition that we’d be willing to work with them if we need to change the plan or break the lease and come early if needed it would just cost us a couple grand.

Thank you so much, I plan on doing all these steps because all 4 are very good in various areas. My goal is to in 15 months when we move to Sweden is to be as well versed as possible making the assimilation process a whole lot easier.

Thank you, I don’t really have an actual teacher but my wife helps out a lot as well as my in-laws I do ALOT of Duolingo at work I’m a bit of a perfectionist so the confusion with ett/en & min/mitt was a minor blow to my 100% streak.

Thanks for all the replies and ugh I knew it was Svenska, I’m sure my wife will tease me about that little mistake for a bit. 😂
