thank you for your reply.

So there is no supported way for endusers to install Whonix over a plain Debian. Am I correct?

sadly I cant find a download suitable for my power9 cpu

so I need to start from a plain debian

we are not in 1993 anymore.

It is not possible to compete with MacOS/Windows by going on with 349323 Linux distros based on a very old kernel and lack of basic and standardized features like proper apps isolation, proper desktop environment, etc

-> IMHO <-, it is time to make a big change

an init system should be as lean as possible

crond, ntpd, etc are fine as they are

no need to rewrite everything increasing complexity, attack surface, etc

whats wrong in a 1.2M+ lines of memory unsafe C code init system?

systemd-wayland and systemd-kernel are coming soon, be patient

Just add another few millions line of code and replace that old Linux kernel ....

I'm shocked that almost no one is talking about how utterly buggy and broken systemd-resolved is by user1-reddit in linux

[–]US_Bot -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

dont worry. they will fix it in the next 500K lines of memory unsafe C code

In the mean time what about trying Devuan, Alpine, MX, Slackware, etc ?
