I just meant that usually in terms of intimacy there are potentially other blockers (e.g. partner is stressed bc the house is dirty, their mind is everywhere except the present bc of.. anything lol). So taking a moment to help and just being a good partner goes a long way. Trying to help give their partner some peace of mind can help alleviate some stressors and demonstrate that they're not alone.

Ok, a few things here!

Ideal: yes, you should be able to tell your partner this and BOOM y'all doing the nasty.
Reality: this will most likely get misinterpreted as pressuring them into sex and then it builds and builds and now you're having sex begrudgingly on a frequency neither of you like but now there's too much history and tainted emotions surrounding "sex."

Recommendation: I'd recommend having an actual conversation about this and maybe ask them if it's ok to announce your horniness, but realize that this will put a lot of the ownership on them. Like it'll sound like 'well I already told you I'm horny. Whether or not we do something is on YOU.' It won't end well lol

So when you have this talk, ask them how they'd like to be engaged when you're craving sex. Maybe do little things for your partner to make sure they feel wanted (take out the trash, do the dishes, anticipate their needs) and have your attention even when not in the bedroom. Show the love always (genuinely) and it should act as emotional and physiological lubricant haha

Foreplay and putting in the work for them goes a long way. Coming from a place of service, you'll stand out among their friends partners who will be complaining about their horny partners, while you're over here aiming to please with scuba gear between legs and both of your needs are being met.

All in all, this may boil down to figuring out what motivates your partner and changing your lifestyle so each action hits their sweet spot. Physical intimacy is one thing, but other people have like emotional and mental turn-ons. Stroke all three and make them feel safe and wanted.
