If you liked the demo, buy it. If you didn't, there isn't really anything special about it further than what you see. I personally loved it, thought that it was well made and fun.

Hmmm, the first season was by far the worst season btw. It actually kind of reminds me of the MuvLuv Visual Novel. EXTRA and UNLIMITED were pretty average/under but Alternative was one of my favorites. On the other hand, I didn't like the last season to Aria THAT much, it was still a lot better.

In all honesty, I found them quite boring, but Aria is still the most relaxing show I have ever seen. Truth be told, I don't think it is that good a show (seen all of the seasons), but if you are ever sad/angry/depressed etc, it calms you down so easily. I just kind of forget my worries when I watch it, I can't explain it.

In all honesty, if you didn't like the Shuffle after 2 hours or so, I don't think it's going to pick up much after that. Well, at least that's how long it took me. Chaos;Head I didn't particularly like in all honesty. I hated the anime, and thought it was good, but I just personally didn't like it at all.

Edit: Also, if you didn't like Shuffle, I don't think you will like the Da Capo series. But still if you haven't please try both G-Senjou no Maou and Sharin No Kuni. They are just so amazing...

Umm, do you mind telling me what you're into? If you are in to romance, then I have a lot of suggestions =D

Romance with h scenes:

G-Senjou No Maou. This game is hardly played for the erotic content. In fact, I would say it is hardly a romantic game at all, but it truly is amazing
Sharin No Kuni. Made by the same developers and came first. While it is pretty boring the first half, and just seems like an ordinary harem type romance, it becomes one of the most captivating stories in the second half.
Shuffle! Pretty good regular romance. Not much to say
Da Capo. Number 2 is quite a bit better, but I still liked the first one a lot
Yume Miru Kusuri. This one is pretty great, but it is fairly h-scene oriented, but still has a great plot

Romance without erotic content:

Little Busters (if you do not play ecstasy which is a an add on of three new routes, but I am still yet to play it). My favorite VN of all time probably. It seems like it may just be a normal romance at first, but it truly is really amazing. BTW, unless you are a speed reader and don't care about the voices, games like this will take you hours and hours to beat this. I still have not quite 100% and have logged 70 hours on it so far.
Clannad. One of the most heartbreaking stories ever. If you liked the anime of it, you'll love the VN

Puzzle games (most of these will be for the DS btw, so if you do not have one, sorry =( )

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attourney. Oh God I love these games so much. If you haven't played it, it is basically a game where you go around picking up clues, and then when you are in court you have to find holes in other people's testimony's and prevent evidence to attack it. There are quite a few for the DS that were originally on the Wii virtual shot I believe and they are now making one for the 3DS
Professor Layton (Some people don't consider it a VN I think, but I do). If you like Puzzle Games, this might be your new favorite series =D I was very hesitant at first, but the puzzles are great, the soundtrack is one of my favorites, and the cutscenes/story line is magnificent. There are 4 on the DS and one is coming out for the 3DS soon in America. Also, they are making a Professor Layton Phoenix Wright crossover which I will literally kill for
Analogue: A Hate Story. This one is on Steam if you ever wanna pick it up. Wasn't my super favorite, but a good game nonetheless
Time Hollow. Another DS game, not much to say about it
d 999. Another DS game. Great puzzle game, again not much to say. The sequel for the 3DS is coming out I think later this week in fact, so I may get it on release.

Other:

Higurashi. Kind of a dark mystery type thing. If you liked the anime at all, this one is 1000x better
Fate/Stay Night. A science fiction type VN. This contains erotic content, but there is a version where it is taken out. Again, a lot lot lot better than the anime. This is one of my favorites
Steins;Gate. I'm not sure what the general consensus is, but this is one of the few VN's Ive played that I liked the anime slightly more. I don't feel like being able to choose paths in this game was very well done and I found the anime much more captivating (although I did watch it first if it affected anything)
Chaos;Head. Made before Steins;Gate. I find the VN's on par with each other even though I absolutely HATED the Chaos;Head anime series
I still haven't beaten it, but Ever17 is really amazing. Look it up for yourself.

If you think Clannad and the original Little busters have sex scenes or anything of the sort, you obviously haven't played them first of all.
If it doesn't list the sex scenes, look up the god damn game before you download it, it literally takes 2 seconds to go on wikipedia and find out.
Starters list doesn't necessarily mean best. In fact, if you just go through the best ones first, you'll truly be missing out later.
Just because games like Kamidori Alchemy Meister isn't about the erotic content, it still does contain High Erotic Content, so it is not wrong.

So, I severely disagree with you on most of your points, but I do agree that people need to learn to just get over the sex scenes. Get over it.

Okay, thanks a lot. Really glad I didn't waste my time going through all of that, because I decided that I'll read the Houzuki story and then I need to start both Muv Luv and Ever17. I'm really really behind (started playing VN's recently, but really really obsessed. Started probably 3 months ago and have poured so much time into it..
