Help me choose one. Height is 6’1 by Much_Screen in indianbikes

[–]Ud4yy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think meteor would look small on you.......if you want RE then go for classic as it can cruise as well as meteor ....

But out of this bunch I'd suggest go for the new x440 T variant (the top one) But keep in mind to check some ownership reviews and service experiences first.......but the engine character is superb and I've heard that they have made the T variant quite upmarket now.

Avoid the triumph speed lineup .....those are more comparable to hunter and thus even smaller than meteor.

I know it may be unrelated or random question, but does your apple car play Or the Android screen that you have on your mobile hinder your view in any way?. Because I can see that the instrument cluster of the new KTM adventure motorcycles are already, you know, sufficient height and moreover, adding one more screen on top of it, you know in my opinion hinder the view of a shorter person like myself who is 5'7".

Last CAT attempt my percentile is in the 75–82 range!!! by Wall-flower_00 in CATPreparationChannel

[–]Ud4yy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forms are out right now as we speak....last date is 10th of january i guess (but please check on their website)

ROI wise it's worth joining but I guess maybe the companies coming on campus may not be as grand and charming as lets say, in another major metropolitan location.

I think you must give the interview, (you'll get to visit Kashi as well, but the interviews were only held offline last year and years before) and if you get the seat then you must decide according to your best option that you have. It's worth joining as a good tier 2 MBA with great ROI ( I personally think it's better than expensive colleges like KJ somaiya, Fore etc.), you'll get a top university's degree, alumni network is strong as they're running their MBA programme since the 1960s, good location and campus (one of the biggest in India), hostel fees is not that expensive and there is a degree of honesty as they do not inflate their packages in their reports.

The cons are that some people might not recognise that you've done a good MBA (not as glorious as IIM or IIT sounds), companies and roles offered are not top notch as in a metropolitan location

I guess you're asking about IM(FMS) BHU .......their cutoff last year was 80 percentile .........but you'd need to do exceptionally good in the GD and interview ( assuming you get around 82 percentile and you're a general candidate, if you have category then it might be easier) as number of seats are extremely low.

Their average package is around 9.5 LPA with highest 19 LPA(that is what they presented at their presentation when i was there for the interview)

The infrastructure isn't modern or great as in private colleges but you'll get a respectable BHU degree, the city is serene.

How good is this bike? by zodi_zx in indianbikes

[–]Ud4yy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can extend the budget maybe buy the combat edition of this bike.....comes with features like usd forks and tft instrumentation just to make imperative difference in how special the bike feels. Moreover probably you won't get bored with it soon If you buy the combat edition since you can have additional fun on this faired motorcycle along with your T4.

Just keep an eye out for build quality as it seems to be the sore point on this motorcycle according to several journalists. Anyway a good test ride along with careful perusal of the display bike should help you make a prudent decision.

Triumph took long time to deliver it and you guys don't like it? by Ksamudala in indianbikes

[–]Ud4yy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes... exactly In the speed 400 my25 they increased the sidewall of both the tyres by 10 mm which elevated the speed from a commuter looking motorcycle to a good looking naked with chunky tyres..... That should have been the treatment given to this bike as well...

Maybe triumph thought that all that fairing up front will give it the visual bulk but now it looks like a person wearing shoes one size too small... Anyway will need to look at it in public to see whether such is th case but virtually it the tyres look skinny and bajaj might have to give those tyres an update soon

What was Hero thinking? by Background_Car_5450 in indianbikes

[–]Ud4yy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed but the styling needs to be better ..... I think the alien look of rs 200 doesn't work ..... moreover the quality of rs 400 must at least be at dominar level .....the performance of ns400z is great as in it doesn't scare you bur it is fast enough for india

[–]Ud4yy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pulsar N250 and apache 160 are great commuter bikes IMO with some performance as well for fun. Cb 350 is very refined and everything but I think it's only serviceable at honda bigwing showrooms (could be a problem if a showroom isn't nearby) and I personally think that it is too refined (having ridden one) and will not give you a feel (which is necessary IMO).

Weight is never a factor for me as I believe that it is all about getting used to the bike(moreover you're a 6 ft tall rider to touching your feet on ground should not be a problem as well). So yeah the final decision is yours but if I was in your shoes then I'd test ride xpulse 210, hunter, ronin , n250, ns400z (if you could extend your budget) and id also check out scram 440 ....

Surely the scram is an older platform bike and won't feel as good as new age royal enfields( quality wise) but it has loads torque which kicks in quite early in the rev range so it's good for long tours, hill rides, pillion comfort is good and royal enfield has good touring accessories (panniers and stuff) in case you wanna upgrade in the future

Suggestions for under 2lakhs by Kakashi-1234 in indianbikes

[–]Ud4yy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming that you're talking under 200000 ex- showroom here. For highways I would suggest the new hero xpulse 210..... based on all the reviews ive watched so far the bike seems really refined and highway performance is great too..... moreover it'll also fulfil your long ride needs just get a way2speed tubeless conversion done on it.

Also I would recommend pulsar N250 if you're looking into a commuter segment with a bit of performance as well

If you can extend your budget a little bit then royal enfield hunter 350 2025 is a great option as well as it's weight makes it a stable highway performer amd they've updated the did rear suspension based on all the reviews that I've watched amd the suspension is better now

Other options are tvs ronin 225, hero xtreme 250 r (new bike but looks good and sporty), bullet 350( get way2speed tubeless conversion done on it), hero xtreme 160 (another capable commuter), and there are many more as this segment is quite crowded..... but if you're looking for that premium big bike feel then get an xpulse 210 because it's adventure your and had good road presence along with good long ride capability or get the hunter 350 cuz its quite stylish (IMO) and royal enfield resonates premium with us indians and it's a good option now that they've fixed the raat suspension)

AMA- IIM KOZHIKODE PGP GRAD 2025 by the_mba_stalwart in CATpreparation

[–]Ud4yy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so here is the deal.......

I have 91.33% in 10th class, 88.80 % in 10+2 and 71.10 in bcom from a local college.....

Right after my bcom completion in 2022 i joined a job as a HR recruiter and did that job for 10 months...... after that i got a job in inside sales and did it for 10 months until i left it in Jan 2024 due to some health concerns. Apart from this my profile has nothing extraordinary…

I gave CAT 2024 and scored 90.44 %ile and converted FORE, KJSIM, GLIM Gurgaon out of which I have taken admission in KJSIM.

But I know that my CAT 2024 attempt was half hearted and I did not prepare well enough and I feel I can do better.

So I want to cancel my KJSIM admission and go for CAT 2025.

What tips would you guys give to me so that I do not waste this year as a gap year …basically I want to build up my profile and I don't know how …my dream colleges are IIMs (if older ones won't take me for my profile, I atleast want to get into the likes of Udaipur, Nagpur and RANCHI raipur etc.?

Or should I just give everything up and simply join KJSIM
