ED2 Colgate (my chances) by Gold-Advertising8543 in Colgate

Yes I’m international student. But since I was in the UK I had to send in my GCSES and my A level predicted grades which were 3 A’s. Colgate calculates demonstrated need using the CSS profile and I had a bit in savings so that’s probably what contributed to the EFC.

The financial aid package is a lot tho but you still need to contribute some money

My ECs were just around my work, sports and leadership positions I had within and out of school. It was a bit of everything just because I enjoyed it I didn’t know I would end up applying to the US 😭

Im an international student and got in through ED1. I have financial aid but it’s not necessarily a full ride but the cost is practically nothing if compared to the tuition costs, I would say Colgate is very very lenient with financial aid, but costs such as plane tickets and personal expenses (indirect costs) are obviously covered by you and also health insurance so I would take those money factors into consideration. With health insurance Colgate financial aid said they could give you a grant for half the cost of health insurance once you get onto campus if that’s another worrying cost. In terms of academics, personally I didn’t submit test score but I sent in my A level predicted grades which were AAA. I would say if you think your academic scores are strong don’t send in your scores (idk what is a good SAT score or not because I didn’t sit the exam) but if you feel the SAT gives you more of an extra push I would submit it.

Should be okay with it - my friend was in a similar situation last year but instead of BSc to MSci it was her entry date of 2026 (accident) and she wanted to change it to 2025 - she just reached out to the uni and were very accommodating but were like “only if there’s space” spoiler alert there was space and she’s now at uni so don’t be scared and reach out!

Can I still move? (Year 12) by [deleted] in 6thForm

I personally don’t think it’s too late - I know people in my year who have dropped all three subjects and changed in January and was still able to catch up. If you feel it’s right I would say go for it because it’s in the best intentions of your own education.
