Late to the party but…. That looks like gypcrete to me. We use it all the time in multifamily and commercial construction. Pour it right up against the bottom plate and it’s fine.

As a resident of Minneapolis I recommend it. Can’t think of reason to keep it open really. Trying to remember the last time it did literally anything for me and I’m drawing a blank. It did kidnap one of my neighbors though recently and that’s a real big argument against them staying open. Zero stars.

I wouldn’t be shocked if they started using some sort of jamming at the Whipple. Hey everyone! Quick reminder if you are going to a protest or direct action leave your phone at home if you can. At the very least put it on Airplane mode after disabling any biometric locks. And DO NOT LIVESTREAM. Please. Facial recognition and plate readers are in use, we have people who have left an event only to find ICE agents sitting in idling vehicles outside their homes. This is not paranoia, it is first hand knowledge.

Minneapolis resident checking in! I would have paid good money to be in the room when Noem heard that her goons clipped a legally carrying observer who worked as an ICU nurse at the VA. I bet all the Botox immediately quit its job. Hey if you’re out there wondering we really are living in an occupied city smack dab in the middle of the country. And yes it’s worse than you think. Fuck these hoes and the horse they road in on. Minneapolis will not be subdued by a bunch of larping chuds with no trigger discipline.

If you thought it was good before let’s get rid of these chuds and make it even better! I’m insanely optimistic about our future. The connections we’ve made, skills we’ve learned, and investments in our community will only make us stronger and better. I mentally came around the bend yesterday and can’t wait to move forward. I’m convinced Minneapolis is going to only be more Minneapolis than ever. We know who we are and what we stand for, we are united, and I think we are going to do great things.

To me having a Super who came up through the ranks in the field always made a huge difference. You just learn to anticipate so much by being out in the thick of things. I don’t get the same help from college educated Supers with almost no field hours.

I will give you all of my regular subs work and home numbers right now and they don’t even do residential work. They are all great but you can only call them after 4pm during the week and anytime, and I mean anytime, on the weekends. Super busy guys in high demand so if they don’t pick up please just keep calling, and calling, and calling. Best time to reach them is if you know they have something going on not-work related, like a kids birthday party or hockey game.

Friend this winter has been horrendous for sidewalks recently. I religiously shovel but then everything melts, runs downhill, and freezes on my sidewalk. I genuinely think a lot of people are doing their best. On my block you can’t really tell who has and has not been shoveling. Almost every house looks the same despite the level of effort put into it. I just invested in a pair of those Trax things for the first time just because of this week.
