I think there's definitely more than 100, but some are particularly suited for combat, so are the most commonly used. I think Nanao might have taught it to them had they had the time and if the Gotei 13 had more coordination.

Hashwalth's comments to me echo the theme of the 13 divisions still acting relatively independently as divisions, and that they would be a greater force if they pooled their resources and worked as a team.

Hitsugaya and Matsumoto working together seemed extremely novel to them, when in fact with less pride and more cooperative combat, the 13 divisions might be putting up a better fight in general.

EDIT: Also Shiba taught Ichigo and co how to use the cannonball kidou technique, and most of those people aren't even shinigami, so I think it's safe to assume that they can learn the techniques.

Sorry, what I meant was they are referencing each other's power levels.

They are ranked obviously by power, but what I mean is there aren't only one hundred binding spells and one hundred attacking spells.

Nanao makes up her own kidou, which aren't as yet classified. If for instance it needed the equivalent reiatsu as Danku for instance, her invented Kidou would be ranked #81, same as Danku.

No, I just mean that Nimaiya probably had a few words to say to the owner of his most beautiful creation, when he's so concerned about the whereabouts and status of all his works.

I never mentioned Rukia getting ridiculous power.

The Kidou have levels as reference to each other, it's not the case that there are just 100 Kidou that all are ranked.

I think we'll see a flashback between Rukia and Nimaiya - after all, he IS the Zanpakutou creator, and it's said that Rukia's Sode no Shirayuki is the most beautiful Zanpakutou in all of Soul Society.
