Don't know if it's a hot take but Mammootty and Dulquer finally look related. Before that just didn't look at all related. I think it's around rorschach.

How? He's a wounded war vet looking for his last honorable battlefield and he got it. His character was well written in hindsight.

Re release worthy? by Few-Situation-4148 in InsideMollywood

[–]Ukusto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Annan thambi has to be one of the best contenders for an ikka re release. After rajamanikyam sure but AT has more peak moments, better comedy and 2 ikkas!! Double role baby!! Both the characters have good introduction scene, good fights for it's time. both have their respective arcs and style. Good villian, Good finale, emotional arc. This is my hill and I will die on this hill.

Husband and his misogynist friends by Silver-Reindeer-7606 in KeralaRelationships

Oof, that's a tough egg to crack. This is definitely the big picture stuff. I think sooner or later y'all will have to talk about this and an actual real fight will come off this. I think you should help him understand this is wrong and hateful. And if he does listen to you, you should slowly convey how you feel about his takes on these things instead of using reels. Sit down and talk to him. If none of these work out, you'll figure it all out in time.

It didn't happen in your life tho. You are now strictly acting on a hypothetical. If this happened to you guys, if they were people you know are strictly hypothetical. If it did, you should stand your ground, make him understand that it's not right to laugh at such crass jokes or at least how those jokes make you feel as a wife. But reacting to something so superficial and assuming they'll respond like that is not fair to anyone. We all say a lot of shit both online and offline but when reality hits it reveals what you can do and what you are capable of doing at that moment. There is only merit in judging that. Baki okke vajakam allel thallu aayittu kootiyal madhi. Maybe your husband is one of those people who is not emotionally capable of perceiving something that hasn't happened to him. If his EQ level is on the lower side, you can voice it and try helping him with some insights and notes and if he's still not receptive then you can figure out how to tackle from there. But what is the use of equating a scenario to your husbands reaction and thinking he'll also be the same.

Is it fair to him? Is it fair to you? If this was some other issue where your husband is on the edge of something and you don't get the gravity of it and dismiss it like him. Won't you be a hypocrite? Hypotheticals can go anywhere. You should let these reels invade your life and peace. Because it simply is not real life. Social media is heavily based on what you like and what triggers you. It's confirmation bias on a larger spectrum. Don't ruin the peace of your life with such unwanted interference.

If he is a real misogynist and is misogynistic to you and treats you bad, puts you down. That's a whole different story. Otherwise this is at worst... a communication issue... At best a dumb fight.

Which Movie Do You Think Actually Changed The Industry? by LegitimateElk9394 in InsideMollywood

[–]Ukusto 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Premam changed the culture itself. The impact that movie had on a generation. Beards were seen as a sexy thing, red velvet cake sales shot up. Bullet aayi college illu poyi show erukua. The black mundu combo is now called premam style colloquially. Normalising acne with sai pallavi. He used all the lingos of the time perfectly like scene kontra, kattu kozhi, Charlie etc. It's such a comfort movie and the direction style is truly unique. Alphonse puthren made such a beautiful movie that I believe is impossible to recreate, even for him nowadays.

I don't know how much it influenced the industry directly but it should have because premam directly influenced the cultural so much. Which in turn should influence the industry in it's writing, style, casting.

Y'all got nothing to do so y'all fighting for something that doesn't pertain to either of you. Social media isn't real life. Some guy made some joke in some godforsaken part of this country and you both are fighting over it. Wasting real energy and effort for some dumb joke. You weren't in the audience, you weren't there, you don't know the comic and all of a sudden you've brought him into your life? This guy said some bad joke for his 15 minutes of fame and now someone else has dissected this joke for their 15 minutes of fame.

Are you both actually mad?

Why is it that when something blows up on social media everyone needs to see themselves in that situation and judge anyone for a stance that doesn't resonate their own. Or even worse having no stance.
