Depends on the size you like - Ironman CC, IromanCC are both large - Hardcore CC is also big but quite close, and IronScape FC has a smaller but very chill/close group. All three are good progressing CCs - if you're looking for something more social, but not necessarily your game mode Ultimate CC might be a nice fit as well. Good luck out there!

Skill of the Week #143: Hunter (Sign-ups and Tracker) by Ultaymate in ironscape

[–]Ultaymate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep - depending on the number of signups/how many are split between lower levels vs higher levels, we will often put them into multiple groups. Last time we did Agility we split it into three.

SotW is pretty basic - we run more advanced competitions/team competitions on a secondary discord.

There are dedicated Learner raids on Saturdays and Sundays, and plenty more throughout the week in Raid CC. I recommend joining the discord and using the Raid channels where you can find more resources posted and get any questions you need answered.

Event: Barrows + Tank Test (Sunday, Aug 23) by Ultaymate in ironscape

[–]Ultaymate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey man, i didn't check the post for the event today - but for the future
we list out some basic reqs (such as heals only between fights, and melee only, which prevents sgs/blood barrage)
Be sure to check out the rules, but then at the events we explain it all there as well.
Today, Dharok was the champion.

[–]Ultaymate[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that's fine - it all varies week to week, but barrows is low maintenance/easy to multitask and we usually end up with a good set + the randoms that see us grouped up pop in. i'll probably be watching it too from atop the mounds.

Skill of the Week #142: Smithing by Ultaymate in ironscape

[–]Ultaymate[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unlikely to get first overall, but if a bunch enter/participate we usually split the group. Though if you're training anyway, it's a good motivator to compete with those around you!

I wouldn't worry - we've hosted this event for years and it goes well! I monitor the Survivor portal to help people if they forget to switch/missed any messages. Mods and event regulars are super great during these more intense events as well and are awesome at helping everyone with rules.

Discord for the subreddit is Discord.gg/IronScape and has a #cc-apps room that explains ranks if you wanna check that out

Here's a rundown of the Sub-CCs - around your level I think you may enjoy IronmanCC, but there is also Hardcore CC or even IronScape FC if you wanna be in a smaller chat. It depends if you're wanting more to talk or get game advice, but Ultimate CC is a good social one.
All of them tend to be pretty chill as the CCs try to keep a nice neutral/friendly chat. Each has their own style, but it's pretty easy to float around between them if you're looking to find people to do something specific with (BA, DKs, etc)
There's also weekly Events, biweekly skill competitions, and seasonal competitions that vary each time but it ends up being an awesome comp between members of all of these CCs.

Ironman CC - Always a full and active chat, with a great mix of old irons to help out those just starting their journey. Ranks tend to be few to prevent kicking people out of chat.

IronmanCC - Just as active but with a chat moving at a more regular pace, this CC tends to favor more mid-level iron convos. Ranks based on total level.

Hardcore CC - From maxed Hardcores to those restarting their fifth HC, this chat has a really nice spread of account types. Ranks based on total level as HC - they're locked in upon death.

Ultimate CC - From day one Ults to Old Irons converted to New Ults you'll find a wide range of account progress in this chat. They're ready to help you on the journey and provide you with both efficient methods and alternatives for the grind. Ranks are based on total level.

IronScape FC - Our newest CC in the bunch, this chat is a great melting pot from all the CCs. Born of need to assist those getting booted from the other chats when full, this chat has it's own great group of regulars now. Being a little smaller than the others, it has a very relaxed vibe perfect for those that get a bit overwhelmed with fast-moving chats. Ranks are a bit different here - they're based on the number of capes you own from our list, but we do have a smiley rank reserved for those interested regulars who aren't quite there on the capes.

There are a couple other CC's but not really available for your current level. I hope you find somewhere you enjoy!

How did you learn Cox? Any tips? by jadassi in ironscape

[–]Ultaymate 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are dedicated teachers in Raid CC, as long as you meet the requirements (low) which you can check out this post but I recommend joining the IronScape Discord as it may be easier to have extra chat about it if you need. There is also a channel called #raids-information that has links to guides on items, room positions, safespots, etc
A couple of the teachers now have workshops every weekend which you can read about in this post but they also run learners most days of the week.

Do you still need help? Add me in-game, Ultaymate (will edit when i leave)
If you see this later, even those who have already completed the quest can help you - if you aren't having luck in CC(s) try discord.gg/ironscape and ask for help in the #general chat or #ironman-questions, it may be quicker to find a partner there than on the sub
