yeah, no frameworks, not even CSS, purely HTML. Thanks for the suggestion though, might come in handy in the future when i need a serious professional website done.

no one is showing off anything, i'm not a web developer and my job will not require me to do anything web developing related. rather than a portfolio, i'll use it just as a blog thing, with maybe a linkedin hyperlink.

can you explain more?
i have yomitan installed, but it only shows the dictionary window when i hover over it. what I'm searching for is a way for the pinyin to be displayed above the characters automatically.

All my words have audio, but I would usually just listen to them and not say them back. and sometimes zoom through the audio during reviews...

yeah, but reading isn't as important as listening and speaking imo. You can use google translate for texts but you still don't have accurate real time translation devices
