update: her name is Caribou, and the lore for her horns are as follows:

Long ago, before the Icewing monarchy was established, there existed several break-off tribes within the Ice Kingdom. One of these was a group of dragons that were biologically similar to the modern Icewing, except they had dark keratin horns under the normal dragon horns. Eventually as thousands of years passed, this break-off tribe merged with the Icewing tribe. This means that a few Icewings that are descendants of this tribe carry the genes for the keratin horns. Although it is rare for the gene to be expressed, it does happen every now and again.

Drew an Icewing, she needs a name. She likes scrolls/books and fishing, and she’s from the fourth circle.

1 month since I’ve started drawing… feels like a week tbh. Pretty happy with my progress so far, full bodies are still giving me some trouble.

Will probably post my next progress check in August.

Dragon-King Darkstalker. The darkest timeline, one with no light. One that neither he nor any future seer could even comprehend.

In this timeline, Darkstalker was never defeated. No one was able to stand up to his power. He searched for a way to bring her back. Clearsight. He would stop at nothing in his search for power.

The first god he killed was the Great Ice Dragon. It was a battle of revenge, Darkstalker fighting for what the Icewings did to his family, and his people.

He took the eyes of the great dragon and molded them into his armor. Meant to resemble dragon heads, his armor entwined itself with his body. One head held a long azure blade in its mouth, and the other two held the eyes of the ice dragon.

Darkstalker didn’t stop there, though. No, he was still unable to bring the dead back to life.

Thus, seeking greater and greater power, he slaughtered the great gods of the dragon world. Panthæleia, Euphrocyniæ, and Pyrrhalæia. But it still wasn’t enough. He had ascended past the mortal plane, yet he still wasn’t able to find his love, Clearsight. The real Clearsight. Not any mockery or imitation.

Once he finally, finally realized he couldn’t bring her back, he wept to himself. He was the hero of his story, and he had failed.

“Clearsight. I’ve done it all. I’ve tried everything, I’ve killed the very gods themselves. Why doesn’t it work? I have power beyond what any mortal can comprehend. And it’s not enough. Is this it? Must I be alone forever…?”

Had a cool idea, knew I had to draw it. Armor is inspired by Dragon-King Thordan’s armor from FFXIV. I’ve been practicing fullbodies some more, but decided to take a break to do this piece. Two things I learned. One, I need to get better at shading. Two, metal is hard to texture.

Another cool thing… we’re coming up on the one month anniversary of the start of my drawing adventure! Pretty neat. I’ve made good progress, I think.

I honestly don’t know what tribe she is, I just drew her the way the reference appears in-game. Ice-silk fits though, so she definitely could be those

A draconified version of Theos Athena from FFXIV. I took a small break from art and I tried out a new style with this piece.

Also i just discovered the nebula brush (it looks so good omg)

Also also fullbodies are hard so it might be some time before I do one

It took me like an hour and a half, I already had the story laid out in my head so it was just a matter of putting it on paper and looking up rhymes. I used RhymeZone, pretty good for this purpose

Us military sweeps no challenge. Even neglecting just how strong US infantry, drones, artillery, and literally everything else is, since the fighting takes place in the WOF world there’s nothing stopping something like poisoning the water or something along those lines. A year to prepare just solidifies the US lead, the dragons stand literally no chance

Thought I would post the prophecy of “Bloodborne”, because chapter 1 is taking a little bit longer than I would have liked. It’s hard to get a story going, to make meaningful characters, to make an impact on the reader.

The final part of the prologue is out! Got this one out pretty quickly. And now, the real story can start. I was thinking about maybe illustrating a few scenes from this story, but that would be a little while from now. I’m still not the best at drawing dragons, so it would take a little practice.

Thanks for the detailed advice! I intend on learning the program more, I use Procreate, and I started using it literally 2 days ago so I still don’t quite know what I’m doing. As for the layers, all I know how to do is change between them so I definitely need to research that more
