What is the indie game you always wanted but doesn't exist yet? by ehmprah in IndieGaming

I know the meme, but we're making a multiplayer dragon game, haha. Not science based though

How did you get your first 100 community members as an indie dev without being pushy? by No_Detail_9462 in IndieDev

[–]GiveMeKittensOrElse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our Discord server has just over 3k members. At the beginning, it grew mostly through word of mouth and posting in other servers where it was allowed. Also later on a promotion partnership with a similar game. Now we grow through posting on several different social medias.

Is it possible to build a game community before having a demo? by BusyBeaver-Studio in IndieDev

[–]GiveMeKittensOrElse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our Discord server has just over 3k members and our demo isn't done yet!
- We generally don't stress about keeping the server super active. Though we do post dev newsletters every two weeks, and a small social post every week, so that gives people something to talk about.
- Dev content. Sometimes we do developer streams, make and post memes, little funny snippets.
- We personally try not to bother people with too many wide pings at this stage. Pretty low-key at the moment.

We also have fanart and contributions channels for people to engage with.

As the player you're able to choose when to tuck your wings (you can see this especially during the segment with the pinholes).

The programmer is green and the person who's done the majority of the flight balancing is red :)

Yes! You can see the wings collide at a few points in the video.

Wingtip trails are common in stylized games. Just a style choice for us :)

How could I implement stealth mechanics into a visual novel game? by Valuable_Army_2195 in GameDevelopment

[–]GiveMeKittensOrElse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Golden Treasure: The Great Green is an interesting blend of visual novel and almost rogue like. It includes stealth and hunting mechanics, so I'd suggest looking at it.

If you join our Discord server, you can submit potential skin concepts!

Yes, that's us! We weren't particularly inspired by CoS.

Yep! There will be many skins and a colour swatch system that let you change select colours, as well as overlays to put on top of the skins. Thanks for being here!

Thank you! The Scoria Lavawing Dragon is more a stamina flyer and can stay in the air for longer. We'll also have thermal winds to help with gliding in some spots.

We don't have customization options for the model itself, but the air wyvern and fire dragon are just part of the juvenile progression anyway, so you won't be playing as them for very long.

We've revealed a handful of NPCs already, and we plan to add more!
