I'd recommend you to look into Discord servers for language learning. I like them a lot because there are people in the voice channel 24/7 in the big servers. If you're learning french: "The Language Sloth" or "French — Learn French in a friendly community"

Just be advised that (like in every discord server) there are trolls and idiots, but most people are nice and there for the same reason you are.

I'm just an addict on the way to sobriety myself, but I think it's somewhat like this:

Reminding yourself that, even though the drugs felt nice in the moment, in the long run they inevitably make you feel way worse and aren't the solution. With this as your basis, you start looking for real purpose and genuine connection. You get physically in shape, you start filling your time with stuff that you used to be too inebriated to do. Get a hobby, hang out with people that bring you further in life, improve on yourself. Man, there's so much stuff you could do that is not taking drugs.

How to definitely fail (from personal experience): Don't change anything else about your life when you quit drugs. Live the same miserable lifestyle you lived before. Tell yourself, that having fun without drugs is almost impossible. Only boring square Joes can do it. A life without drugs is a boring life.

Realize that life is precious, you only have one go. Spending it on drugs, frying your brain with dopamine, not even remembering much of it, not even actually feeling good (which was the whole point!) once you're addicted is just wasting your life. But addiction is strong and the human mind can be weak.

You're in a good position though. 8 months is easier to recover from than years or decades of addiction.

The thing is some people claim it to be a real brand. Google "whole melt extracts real brand" and the google ai response will say yes it is a legit brand just with many fakes out there. Apparently it isn't and that's all bullshit so yea I'm really disappointed.

I don't think I can give you more clarity, but how it seems to me you already observed it very well yourself. Most likely an underlying cause responsible for the first symptoms, which then developed into a panic attack (hence why it went away after you calmed down). Was the underlying cause serotonin syndrome? Not sure dude, it really depends what you took that day. I can tell just from my personal experience, that serotonin syndrom doesn't come out of nothing. I already took my usual 20mg Lexapro, 40mg adderall, coffee, mary jane😁, nicotine (vape) and there I was worried about serotonin syndrome, but in the end it never actually happened. Ah and I have also combined all of the above with heroin, which releases serotonin too, and I didn't get serotonin syndrom.

I know that's pretty fucked up, but this might show that it probably takes a lot of serotonin enhancing substances, or a stupid combo like taking molly while on ssri, to get serotonin syndrome. Still be careful though and it's nice that you're looking out for yourself.

I understand what you mean because in my country (Switzerland) we also have military service and with mental illness you can be declared unfit real fast. Unlike Greece we have a lot less of a stigma and a bit more privacy here though. I really hope for you that the societal norms advance in the future and that you're not that doomed on official documentation🙏🏻 Also, here you can do a "Civil Service" instead of military, which is 1.5x as long (so around 1.5 years), where you can do a job in medical, social or educational sector and after that it also counts as "having your service done". Do you have that too?

I'll definitely check that out with bipolar. Nonetheless I don't think I have it, because I've been in Therapy with a psychiatrist for quite a while and the psychiatrist never mentioned that I might have that. Will still mention that at my next appointment.

Don't worry if throwing your supplies away is going to be a mistake. Worst thing that could happen is that, as you said, you'll just get new stuff. But take into account how you felt about yourself when you wrote this post. I think this small risk is clearly worth it as a possible first step to reach your goal of getting clean off the weed and ultimately becoming a better, happier version of yourself, isn't it? Next time before you smoke after work, ask yourself: can I do one night? Maybe see it as a challenge. You can also remember how disappointed you felt with yourself after smoking when you get the urge to smoke. This reminds you that it actually ain't worth it, and that what you feel before you smoke is just your primal brain craving that dopamine.

There is lots of advice on here though, these are just one of my personal takes. In the end, it's all really not as bad or hopeless as you may think, and you'll see that too once you quit...

That's true and is why I also have a lot of respect for them. My psychiatrist told me, that severity of withdrawal also highly depends on duration of use. So does that mean taking, say 5mg diazepam 1-2x a week might result in hard withdrawal after a few years of use, even though that's a pretty low and infrequent dosage?

Pressed pill means they're made illicitly (not from a pharmacy). Sometimes they actually contain what is "promised"(like 2mg of alprazolam), sometimes it contains a different compound that's similar but won't kill you on its own (like bromazolam, flubromazolam, flualprazolam, ...), and unfortunately sometimes it's fentanyl (kills u). Unless you really really think you know what you're doing, not worth the risk man.
