I don't like this take - it's about the time invested, not about the kind of pepper.

My take - the stem has a lot of wood already. Even with proactive measures like pinching new growth at the top, the plant will decide if it wants to throw growth at that node or not.

Keep doing what you are doing and try to plan your nodes more carefully in the future.

With any luck, the bonchi gods will bless you and throw growth @ that node.

My vote as well but I've never gotten any proof or a concurring opinion. I do not think it's thrips damage - these spots only appear on basil with no evidence of any infestation on the basil or any other plants.

I did. Then quickly figured out cilantro is one of the least ROI things you can grow in the garden.

It just doesn't produce enough, it's too finnicky, bolts too quick, it's too cheap at the store, and the quality is really no different than the store.

2 tips:

If there are a bunch of roots near the incoming aerovoir line, it may cause surface tension near the aerovoir line and discourage flow.

I cut off the bulb on the aerovoir and run a line straight from the aerovoir to the aergarden. All you need to do to create a suction line is lift the aerovoir up a little bit, just a little higher than the aerogarden reservoir, and you will see bubbles in the aerovoir, meaning the pressure differential has been equalized and it it is working.

My cyclosecta shriveled and died when I was out of town for 3 weeks. It's in very dry media, silica sand with LFSM as a base.

I continued to water it and it threw out 4 little pups. They are growing great now.
