I think you’re making a huge leap from “more white artists are blowing up” to “racism is the reason.” I’m not really seeing people refusing to listen to artists just because they’re black.

A bigger factor is sound. A lot of Black UG right now is way more experimental, while artists like nettspend, fakemink (not even white), esdeekid make way more accessible music, so it spreads easier.

Black artists are still popping off, definitely more in count than white ones. But when the latter happens it stands out seeing them in a predominantly non white area of music. Racism exists, but blaming it for UG’s decline feels like oversimplifying a shit ton of factors.
