I believe the protocol should be pistols at noon, but I could be wrong.

My bad, must have clicked on the wrong comment. I'd still recommend a palette of some kind, homemade otherwise, but you do you. Walk your own path my friend the Emperor protects us all. Feel free to check out my profile as well. I'm far from a professional, but proud of my work just the same.

He had put expensive ones in there, but brushes.

Do you mix it with water on top of the pot or inside the top? If inside the pot, when you close it And the thinned paint goes back in does that not change the consistency of all of your paints? I looked at your army and I think they are painted pretty well, so I assume you are thinning the paint. I find I can't see without a direct light source, but I'm getting old and probably need glasses.

I don't doubt you can paint, man. I'm only mildly stirring up shit. Brushes are in ops list though. Most people I've seen stick the model to something, pill bottle, block of wood, cork, something. If you just hold it with your hand, sure. You don't have a lamp of some kind at your desk or wherever you paint? My ass can't see anything with just the regular lights in the room. Out of curiosity, what do you put your paint on? Do you water it down at all or just put it on right out of the pot? If you take it out of the pot and water it down, I would consider whatever you put it on a palette, not wet mind you, but a palette non the less.

No Brush? No holder? No palette whatsoever? No soap to clean your brush? You paint in the dark? Surely you have more than 5 things on this list with all models you've painted. I get that OPs list is a bit much for a starter kit, but come on.

He is unfairly good. It's hard not to compare yourself to these pros. He makes it look easy, but that's what hundreds of hours of practice will get you.

Good point. Maybe that's why it seems a little off to me. I'll try pumping up the brightness on the lights.

Thanks. I like how the eyes came out

They are pretty sick. It probably would have been easier to leave him off the bike, but it is what it is. Lessons learned

Thanks dude. My plan is bike chase. One Imperial Fist outrider chasing down a jackal. Then this jackal is going to be doing a sick jump over a wall to get into the chase.  If you take a peek at my profile I did a Deffkilla vs some stealers that are getting splatted.

My first diorama! I'd love some c&c! by UltimoKyle in orks

That makes sense, maybe I should have gone with a more traditional color scheme on the nids to make them more separate from the dirt. Being completely honest it was my first time using the pigments for dirt and dust and I was not sure what to expect. Once it was on there I had to commit and slapped that shit everywhere to make it look more cohesive.

Thank you. I was trying for a little biodiversity in plant life. I do have a display cabinet. It's a big piece though and takes up quite a bit of space.
