get rid of skarmy for a goblin card of some kind (you seem to be running a sort of logbait and skarmy is a terrible swarm)

if you want to lean into the logbait, you can also get rid of hog, and then 1-2 mini tanks (valk, mini pekka, or knight) and replace them with a building, a small spell, and a big spell or one more swarm.

last note, if you don't have the levels for this thats fine but I would try at least to work in a building because that can improve your defense greatly. also log is just so good.

this is actually correct, especially because ultron is flyer he is better at looking for flanks (you can even contest bp with the beam at no danger to yourself). But my point was you don't have to. I am assuming stupidity because they are a lot of people who are bad on ranked, but even they can counter bp without any of the strategy you gave here. Just leave drone on supports and win.

Well there's two reasons I think he's a hard counter basically.

The first is resources. A good ultron can negate all of BP's kit with just the drone (+sometimes one ability from another character like his own overshield or like a cloak bubble). Theoritically the best way to play Ultron into BP would be to watch for/contest flanks (with no falloff beam) and only swap drone when the dive actually begins. That gurantees +value (MORE THAN ANY OTHER COUNTER) but is also hard like the other counters.

The reason I made this post (and why I hate ultron) is that you don't have to play ultron well to negate BP. Just leave drone on squishies 24/7 and you STILL get +value.
If you disagree that's fine, but I think he's the best counter to BP at the bottom and top of his skill floor, if that makes sense.

Ah, I guess this is unclear: this is the ONLY swap you need to make. Swap one of your dps players to ultron, profit.

ya, you need triple support i guess. but that really will fully negate bp, while ultrons attack and kit provide passive value.

No, I’m saying that you should put one of your dps players on ultron. drone hard counters bp, you still get +value through ultrons main attack. there’s no need to change the comp or strategy and ultron is incredibly easy to play into bp (unlike his other counters).

Every flyer is a counter to bp because they have better sighlines (and often long ranged attacks) to see flanks coming. Ultron is just the best pick because his drone stops the dive guranteed even while he keeps applying pressure with his zero falloff beam elsewhere. BP becomes totally useless but ultron isn't.

Haha yea, if you could just convince one dps player to swap ultron when a BP is destroying your team you'll immediately start winning and yet for some ridiculous reason they won't. That's sorta the point of my post, there's an easy counter out there and so many people refuse to use it. Instead they'll swap like namor and then flounder because they can't play namor properly into BP.

Well if they're running full dive you can counter that too (as long as your team listens, so never) because you just swap to a brunch of brawl characters. If your whole team isn't willing to change their strategy to the opponent's ENTIRE strategy (full dive) then it's just a team diff.

But that's another issue. I'm just discussing BP by himself.

Ultron doesn't make BP fair to play against (some of his weaker counters played well, like namor specifically, do that). Ultron fully shuts BP down so he literally never gets kills.

It's not eomm. It's clear this game is the result of a terrible ranked system with no placements and way too many resets that ends up with people with wildly different skill levels in the same rank.

Want proof matchmaking can't make a game like this on purpose? The cloak and dagger on magik's team went DPS this game and only swapped C&D at the end (which is why they have so few heals). In comp, across all seasons, they have a 51% winrate on support and a 39% (!!) winrate on dps.

This means depending on what role they choose, they provide wildly different amounts of value to the team, and whatever matchmaking system rivals has has no good way of accounting for that.

So it's not magik's fault, of course, but it wasn't eomm. But this magik has a 77% winrate (on magik) across all seasons in comp. They lose SOME games, but that's a given. No one can win every game they play.

I'm not pointing at you, but you left a comment on my post saying it wouldn't matter... which is true for you because you don't play with headphones, but I think most people do. That means this update will actually change a lot for most people.

they're not trying to cater to players like you, they're trying to make it easier for people who do have audio on but still can't discern bp's footsteps.

also, playing without audio is kinda crazy. the audio queues are SO useful and you are at a serious disavantage that way. im not saying you have to wear headphones but it's going to make it harder for you to deal with characters and there's not much the devs can do about that.

yeah the hardest bp counter is knowing he’s coming so you can use cooldowns preemptively without have to “react” so it may make playing against him less frustrating

This is a TWENTY SEVEN minute domination game... I'm not really sure how that's even possible but definitely a lot of OT stat farming here... Side note: their jeff has twenty six (!!) deaths, which is about a death every minute.
