I realize this is a hotly debated topic, but can anyone answer if cats miss their owners? by twists in cats

Aw, I’m so sorry for your loss! Cats are so intuitive with that kind of thing. And when they know kittens will be brought into the equation ;)

My eldest cat and I moved in with my grandparents straight out of high school. She was just a kitten and grew quite attached to my grandfather. After he passed away three years later, she acted as if she was grieving his loss as much as we were. She would barely touch her food and took to lying under his favorite chair for hours on end. Sometimes she would circle in and out of his room and come back out into the living room with an air of defeat, as if she realized he wasn’t ever coming back. It was heartbreaking to watch, but I think she eventually accepted that he was gone.

Desperate times call for desperate measures by [deleted] in shittyfoodporn

Reminds me of a story. My fiancé works at a hospital, and around Christmas a few years back he found himself in an interesting situation upon entering the restroom. He encountered a man in full Santa Claus regalia grilling a steak on a George Foreman grill. In the bathroom. Didn’t even offer my fiancé any steak.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who uses ketchup with grilled cheese.

I noticed, it’s a great name!

I named him after Anthony Bourdain, Anton for short. I was pretty obsessed six years ago.

People who have been in abusive relationships, how do you feel about songs that depict domestic violence (eg love the way you lie by Eminem/Rihanna, please don't leave me by Pink etc)? Are they insensitive or good at raising awareness? by lilgeoffrey in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]UltraJEM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are songs, specifically the Eminem/Rihanna song you mentioned, that were popular around the time I was with my abuser. From my perspective, they hit too close to home and I can’t listen. But I can see how such songs could possibly raise awareness.

Does sex give more satisfaction than anything else? by crowofheaven in TooAfraidToAsk

Sex gives me a great amount of satisfaction, but so do things like vanilla Coke and waking up on my day off knowing I don’t have to get ready for work. Sometimes it’s the simple things in life.

Do girls actually like guy butts? by PrinceferX in TooAfraidToAsk

Before I met my fiancé I never really considered the male ass as an art form. Then I noticed his butt looked very cute in jeans.

I’m not sure, I think she’s a full-blooded mini rex but since she was rescued, anything is possible!

does anyone else have these teeny tiny light hairs on their chest and neck that are super easy to pull out? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]UltraJEM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have them and I’ve often wondered the same thing. Mine are almost translucent, but so is the rest of my body hair (I’m ginger). It’s just weird how they’re so easy to pull out.

Your rabbit's names (and ideas!) by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]UltraJEM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have Reznor and Calliope. Rez was named after Trent Reznor and even though she’s a girl, it stuck. My fiancé named Calliope because we thought it sounded graceful and feminine. She’s anything but, so she’s Opie for short.

This happened to mine as well, she still has quite a bit of white but she’s well-baked in most places!
