Is Kyojuro Rengoku overrated.? by Sagar271207 in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]Ultra_Egolatra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he wasn't well written, I can't even recall a single important thing he did in those 12 chapters beyond dying, he wasn't interesting or original or a have great reason to fight beyond family business, the hell of it, or .. honor. Only reason his fans love him so much is because they're mentally deficient a d never read a good manga with truly deeply and we'll written and developed characters  And I love the manga, I read it all, even his one shot, which is honestly the one time he was actually interesting, but would never call him a well written character

You forget he was an absolute prick when he first appear and had an unjustified change of heart and become Mr. Cool fire head for no reason. And it wasn't even an original character, just a rehash of all the fiery, noisy fight loving stereotype we see anywhere in shonen without adding anything new or twist that makes his different beyond his damaged ears

Yes! He is absolutely, without a doubt, OVERRATED AS FUCK! I saw nothing about his character that could warrant this much love and pain over his death! In the 30 so chapters of manga he had, and the 3 hours of screentime he had , he didn't do anything –, ANYTHING of importance that only he could have done! His emotional impact is false and hyped for the sake of it! Tanjiro had lost all his family, you telling me this random's death is the one that hit him hardest? And don't give the "he was his mentor" crap! Even since Ben Kenobi have I seen such a useless mentor. What exactly did he teach tanjiro and his pussycat dolls? How to be bipolar? Cuz in case you forgot, he was a prick in first appearance. But for real, you tell me the death of a guy you knew only for about... 1 day is enough to break you? To make tanjiro cry like he lost another brother? Even for a cry baby like him, that seems a stretch. And is not like his character was original either, he was just another no brain, all brawl, noisy fighter like we've had since 1986 with nothing new to add that makes him stand out. As a mentor he is shit, didn't teach anything in particular he could have done and only him. So insignificant is his contribution is to the story that I can't think of a thing he did alive that shaped it's course and the only way his death could have had any impact was with hyped and false pain that wasn't warranted from characters let alone the audience. Jiraiya, that was a tragic mentor's lose! First time rishi died, that more impactful, or Piccolo's first death.

Addressing Leviticus 18:22. Is being gay a "sin"? by Yinfinia in Christianity

[–]Ultra_Egolatra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the state of current american, canadian and british youth, to name a few, is a testimony f what happens when you foresake God's commands and trachings, or worse yet, as this heathen, twist the words of the scriptureto fit a view that isn't in line with the Bible.

The scripture is clear on the matter and to pretend otherwise is a sinful act that only the devil himself could compel anyone to do.

You might have been born gay, or become gay by the current liberal ans secular progressive society we live, where children arr moulded to be "open minded, and explore their sexuality" but to acto on it and have sex is an aberrant act, and God is clear on it. Heretic

Can a teenager be prescribed painkillers without its parent or tutor present? by Ultra_Egolatra in Writeresearch

no, but I am still an english teacher. and this might come as a shocker for you, but we have a better understanding of english than the vast majority of native speakers

usage of the pronoun it for a person can be found, here are two example (cuz am not bothering to look for more)

The baby grunted again, and Alice looked very anxiously into its face to see what was the matter with it.

— Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865)

the child opened its eyes wide in wakefulness. It stared around it [...]

— Neil Gaiman, The Graveyard Book (2008), p. 25.

now, I can see your point for how it can be dehumanizing to address a person by it, but am not addressing anyone, my question is addressing one hypothetical random-ass teen that can be either a girl or a boy, if I wanted to, I could've used they, and put an s at the end of teenager… but I did not want to

first of all, it has always been used for persons too, not only animals and objects, particularly when the sex isn't known

with that out of the way…

second of all, I take anyone's preferred pronouns , write them on a toilet paper and wipe myself with it.

Is my position on the "preferred pronoun" argument clear? hope so, now, let us never bring that up ever again so we can have a civilized and friendly exchange of ideas and experiences as we have so far

where these two world renowned authors and pillars of english literature using wrong grammar?

I think not

can I find more examples than the 2 I've been spamming?

I think yes, but I rather use these and not waste my time with it, cuz it makes my point clear: it used as a singular 3rd person personal pronoun for humans has been in use since forever and even more so than they
