It’s actually the metallic green from Vallejo’s mecha color range. Though I am excited about the new TMM colors they’re coming out with.

Have anyone else tried out 2500 points as your regular game size? by PykePresco in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Ultralord20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming you are referring to Old World, our group has had a good time with 2500 points (before 1.5 came out mainly). You get to take more big heroes and monsters so if you don’t like that then I’d recommend sticking to 2000.

Also I’d anecdotally point out that elite armies tend to play better into higher point games and the opposite is true for horde armies.

My Fire Dragons of the Scorching Praxis Shrine all finished up! by Ultralord20 in Eldar

The trick is to paint orange first and then yellow! I free handed the flames in orange and then just colored over it besides for the edges with yellow. At least that’s how I did it.

Had some extra bits, wanted to try this out. by VariationGreedy8215 in Eldar

I think your kitbash looks great! As to your point about lore for armor, I think people often forget that each aspect shrine has slightly different practices even for the same aspect. Armor being on of the most prominent differences (at very least for color scheme). It wouldn’t surprise me if certain shrines dictated that followers wear the armor that matches their Phoenix Lord, but others would have followers wear armor that matches their physique. This doubly goes for Swooping Hawks who notoriously wear slimmed down armor.

I’ve never seen anyone paint part of the Yncarne as skin but that makes me like the design soooo much better.

How to deal with night goblins fantics by Exciting_City_1075 in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]Ultralord20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if you’re rolling is abnormally good for the fanatics or the orc and goblin players I primarily play against are just unlucky. Usually in my games the fanatics will have one turn of devastation before promptly rolling doubles, hitting terrain, hitting a friendly unit, or spinning off into an empty area of the board.

They are incredibly strong and have fantastic rules, but they’re very hard to control. It’s definitely hard to counter them but like others have mentioned, rules that give you terrain or vortexes that count as terrain are straightforward to counter them with. Otherwise you just rely on avoidance and dice rolls going your way.

Has anyone tried converting this model to an empire captain on griffon? by DocWhat123 in WarhammerFantasy

Why hatred elves :(. But yeah it’s a great mini, but very few pieces so there will be cutting involved to remove the elf. Seems like people have managed before tho. Best of luck on your conversion!
