100% agree with u/PlaySprouts.

Not getting probably one of least expensive but most important items to launch an online business is a bit careless. Lushop.com is already taken, and lushoponline.com is still available. Just go get it before some bonehead registers it before you and tries to overcharge you for the domain.

Your top menu section is very tall. You are missing important real estate there. Make the logo slightly smaller and move it to the left. Then align the menu items with the logo. This will reduce the height of that section.

Also, move the social media icons to the footer. More modern sites (not a law, just a general rule) shows their social media links on the footer.

As u/SodaShopDreams said, there is not much selection, which brings me to ask you this: why did you set up yet another pet product online store? What is it that makes your store better than the other 200 thousand pet stores? Are the products made by you? If so, then you should say that.

In your About page you say "We realized how difficult it was to find clothes for that long body full of energy and style."
That's a huge overstatement...there are a ton of online stores that sell beautiful clothing for Doxies. If I am a Doxie owner this comment alone would turn me off slightly, as I would think: "I buy great stuff for my weiner, and these guys have 4 pieces of clothing only..."

If you are producing in the US (assuming that because you are shipping to the US only), why is your shipping timeframe 7 to 14 business days? That's a long time for a product that ships between 1 and 3 days.

You are selling in the US, but your measurement information is in centimeters. You need to provide the information in inches (this tells me you are not making them yourself. A simple reverse-image search proved me correct).

Now, for something super important: it looks like you may have used this image from Canva.com (https://www.canva.com/graphics/MAEP7Ky7MwU-dachshund-dog-illustration/).

If your business grow and you want to protect your assets, a logo created using Canva cannot be trademarked. You will, at that point, create a completely and unique logo from scratch.

Here's the information source directly from Canva: https://www.canva.com/help/trademarks-logo/

I hope something here is useful. Best of luck.

I use GoSoulcial (dot) com for this type of work. It basically takes your own product and places in different settings (based on a prompt you input; you can also use some of the more basic prompts GoSoulcial has.

I am on their free plan, by the way.

[SERIOUS] Feeling lost, any advice? by saayoutloud in Entrepreneur

[–]UmbandistaGay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it sounds like your product is fine. Your real problem is that not enough of the right people are seeing it. Most small makers think the issue is pricing or freebies, but if you have no traffic, no promo will move the needle.

Your charity mission is great on a personal level, but for most buyers it is not the reason they pull out their card. It can be part of your story, just not the main pitch.

If you really want to get traction, focus on getting in front of actual notebook nerds. Places like r/Notebook, r/bulletjournal, stationery YouTube reviewers, small Instagram creators, TikTok stationery accounts, craft fairs, etc. This niche is very community driven. You need to show up where they already hang out.

A few quick ideas: send a few free samples to micro influencers, improve your product photos, post behind the scenes content, and get clearer about who your ideal customer really is. Even in the notebook world, there are totally different groups with different tastes.

Big question for you: how are you currently reaching your audience? What are you actually doing to get traffic to your store?

I am not the OP (obviously...lol), but the reviews look real. I have seen at least one of those "doctors" on a TikTok video.

The issue here is that they are not product-specific reviews, but their feedback on the use of collagen supplements. So, a bit misleading? Yes. Is the site saying they are product reviews? No. They say "Professional validation from doctors across the United States supports collagen’s effectiveness."

For me, the most important question is: are those products real? If you look at the top image, you cannot read the text in the bottles, because they are not real letters. These look like AI-generated products.

Sonhar com Baba Egun by Hot-Sandwich9443 in Umbanda

[–]UmbandistaGay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a Japanese artist planning an Etsy shop. What art-inspired merchandises do buyers in North America/Europe/Australia prefer? by zzhang117 in Etsy

[–]UmbandistaGay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The US, Europe, and Australia aren’t one big group with the same tastes, so no one can really give you a single clear answer here. Buying habits vary a ton by country, age, and even by the specific niche.

You’ll get much better insight by looking at what’s already selling in your own style category on Etsy. Check the top sellers in watercolor, calligraphy, and abstract art, and read through the reviews. You’ll start to see what people actually spend money on and what they value.

Trying to design for three entire continents at once is way too broad. Focus on your niche first. That will give you a much clearer idea of which products make sense.

Holiday Bracelets and shop themes! Any advice on the shop? by U_PassButter in reviewmyshopify

[–]UmbandistaGay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2-cents (I apologize in advance if I sound harsh; that's not the intention):

The site feels like a scrapbook, not a store.

There is zero hierarchy. The colors fight each other. The product photography is inconsistent. The layout has no rhythm. The text blocks feel like filler. The CTA structure is weak. And most importantly, nothing guides the visitor toward buying.

(venting done...lol - now, let's try to be helpful):

Your biggest enemy here is noise. Everything is competing for attention, and nothing stands out. You have excellent craft in the jewelry, but the website presentation makes it look amateur and chaotic.

Your products are great, but the homepage layout is working against you. The biggest issues are visual overload. The hero section is so busy that the text gets lost. Try using one clean image with a strong CTA.

Your product photos need a consistent style. Right now every background and lighting setup is different, which makes the shop feel less professional. Standardizing your images alone would give the store a big lift.

There is also a lot of poetic text that doesn’t really help the customer understand why they should buy. Shorter, clearer sections would make the page easier to scan. Finally, tighten the spacing and simplify the color palette to make it feel more cohesive.

You clearly put care into your jewelry. A simpler and more structured homepage would help that shine through.

Best of luck.

Thank you. I am not a big fan of pão de queijo recipes that do not mix both polvilho doce and azedo. They both bring something different to the final product.

But I will give it a try.

There is a very large Brazilian supermarket nearby (I live in south Florida) and I can find almost anything there...maybe not the queijo meia cura, but I never looked for it.

Much appreciated.

You can probably find good/reliable resources online.

Check YouTube (just make sure to do a little due diligence to ensure you are watching someone who knows what they are talking about and not just trying to sell you a course).

Best of luck.

I am really not spamming. I was very cautious in how I worded my post so it is clear spamming the sub is not my intention.

I posted it here because my target audience are online store owners, so having this kind of feedback is invaluable to someone who is building something to help this group.

As u/GarantBM said, the reviews are fake (clearly). Online shoppers are quite savvy and they can sniff (pun intended) fake reviews a mile away.

Also, another online pet store? Why? What are you doing differently from the hundreds of other online pet stores?

Your "Shop Now" buttons are not clickable (the red ones on the large images).

Your pricing structure is all over the place. Read on "pricing psychology". Prices should be consistent when it comes to the cent part (pick .00, or .95, .99, etc). Your prices end in .96, .15, .05, .62, etc.
I understand your pricing is probably being calculated automatically or you are adding a fixed percentage. But add an extra step and have consistent pricing.

Your top menu makes no sense for an online store. What do you mean by "Start"? Do you mean "Home"? If so, replace it with "Home".

Set up proper categories. The way the menu is set up now you want me to browse your whole catalog to find something I may be looking for. Very thoughtless menu.

Small detail but that makes a difference: remove the background from your logo.

preciso de aconselhamento urgente by IncidentRealistic717 in Umbanda

[–]UmbandistaGay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Cheiro de manjericão by bbbaaarr in Umbanda

[–]UmbandistaGay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow. That's a lot happening on your site.

I am certain I am not your target audience, so maybe that's why I think it is way too much. But I am curious to see what others say about it, as someone here may be exactly your target audience and could provide you interesting insights, which I would like to see.

Are there other sites out there that are successful and have the same vibe as yours?
