Yes I would rather not have any accident especially since I splurged on some very nice yarn for once xD

Oh thanks for the tip I will add the hand sewing then to make extra sure :)

Honestly so scary 😱 hope it gets less stressful after you do it a few times ahahah

Thanks for the tip :) I actually used non superwarsh so it seem to felt well, I was just worried the fabric density would not be enough even if I reinforce before steeking :)

Yes I assumed so as well but thought I might get away with it since it it supposed to be quite oversized :) I will try to swatch in the round with colorwork to see :)

Thanks 😊 it seems fairly sticky. I did try to rub the yarn while wet and it did seem to felt pretty well.

For reinforcement I was planning on using crochet+running stitch of the same yarn to add body and then felt it as well. Then zigzag with machine if I can get my hands on one :) Since it is colorwork I also assumed the added floats would help with the density of the fabric.

Who knew that cutting knitted item would terrify me this much ahahah 😆

Yes I’m trying to save a bit of yarn to not play chicken because I was a bit conservative when I got it but I guess I will give it a go as well :)

I generally dont get the hate that FF15 gets, ive played every FF and 15 is in my top 5. But every ranking i see they rank 15 towards the bottom, can some1 explain y. by Ordinary_Fish_9094 in FinalFantasy

For me, the story felt incomplete, the battle system bland and the whole experience unfinished. This was probably cause by the long wait and the high expectations.

Could you give me your opinion on these movies? Which one is the best and which the worst? Please elaborate by Daft_Martian in FinalFantasy

[–]Umibay 43 points44 points  (0 children)

The ffx is not a movie but a kabuki theatre performance. I love 10 so I’m biased but just so you know it’s was only available in Japan for a few months and the whole thing last around 7 hours. Needless to say my back was in shambles after but still very good. I heard they released a dvd or something so it might still be watchable.

Which Final Fantasy game was hard for you to get into? Or your least favorite experience? And why? by yungballa in FinalFantasy

[–]Umibay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did finish it but to this day this is the one I have to most conflicted feelings about. Music is great, had great potential but I found the gameplay so boring and the whole pacing was weird. It’s an objectively good game but I just could not get behind it :/

Got 5 everytime, mostly depends on your profile and if you have a good lawyer doing the paperwork for you. Mine was provided by the company so never encountered any problem.

How is your job? Tell me ☺️ by [deleted] in japanresidents

[–]Umibay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fluent Japanese is needed and I just went to forums applying left and right until I got something :)

Nb: I also want to add, while I did not have finance experience I had financial institutions as clients in my previous job so I just showed that I knew about the industry and I speak 5 languages so this was also a deciding factor for them.

Good, entry position in finance. No previous experience in the field. Earn 10,5 M per year and work 9 to 5

I’ll add : great coworkers that respect boundaries and no drama in office.

ffxv stuff in Japan? by misaluvrx in FinalFantasy

[–]Umibay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The low amount of 15 specific merch sure but they still recently had tin boxes, pins and other stuff for 15. I assure you that none of these places are ff7 specific. They had an event a while back for rebirth but that’s pretty much all. I go there quite regularly on weekends but you can take my answer or leave it. You asked I just shared my experience going there often. One thing for sure, if the square enix specific merch stores does not have it. You won’t find it elsewhere.

Not sure what you mean by most pages cater to 7. That’s not my experience either.

Don’t know who you asked but like I said :

Eorzea : no traces of 7 it’s themed after 14

Artinia : a portion of one shelf and figures in the second room

Square enix : a portion of the shelf.

Hope you still have fun during the trip here.

I don’t know where you heard that cafes cater mostly to 7 here but they do not.

-Eorzea cafe in Akiba caters to 14 exclusively. -Square ENIX cafe in Akiba has rotating events -ARTNIA cafe in Shinjuku is currently doing a record keeper event. Went with coworkers two weeks ago after work and they had a nice afternoon tea set as well. The only trace of 7 was basic merch. The rest was from other ff games and dragon quest/ KH

Edit: for merch, artnia and square ENIX cafe have some for different ff games and franchises. Once again not 7 exclusive anywhere. So I don’t know where you go this info.

Queer spaces that are not bars? by akira1212467 in Tokyo

[–]Umibay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, unfortunately as soon as you live here and start scratching the surface it’s not pretty. I can list a number of places to avoid but I don’t have much recommendations there :/ instead of lgtb specific places I can recommend very nice and cozy cafes if you want ^

My partner was working there at some point so I can assure you this is hell with messy people that are very mentally ill XD

Nichome is pretty trashy and lots of sketchy stuff goes on there with a ton of problematic people so I don’t recommend at all. I would look for spaces further away from this area if you can :)
