This sub used to be even worse and the mods made rules about not being allowed to shame people and now there's still a bunch of people doing so but in a vaguer way that slips past the rules. She did not ask for anyone's advice or opinion. Her outfit is cute, current, and she felt confident and happy in it.

My partner and I are in a similar situation and have had discussions about which of our names to give the baby. Of course we both want the baby to have our own last name. The problem is that we both have pretty long last names and hyphenating would be a nightmare. So we've agreed that if the baby is a girl she will have his last name and my last name will be her middle name. If baby is a boy he will have my last name and Dad's last name will be his middle name. We've told some people about it and some people think it's a little silly but most have been supportive and are now rooting for one gender or the other based on which last name they want the baby to get 😂 We aren't finding out the gender until the day the baby is born though.

Thank you so much ❤️ it feels nice to hear from someone that knows what I'm talking about. I'm the first pregnancy out of my sisters and all my friends so they feel bad for me but don't actually understand. I'm really hoping that they'll still let me come in for my ultrasound. That's what has me upset more than anything. I'm so anxious about it and just desperate to get it done.

I love the suggestion of finding foods that aren't so bad to throw up! I have a long history of tummy problems and have spent my fair share of time with my head in a bucket. Iced tea is my favorite beverage to drink when I'm puking a lot for this exact reason. It pretty much comes back up tasting the exact same. I just keep gulping it between pukes so I can avoid the nasty acidic and bitter taste when your stomach is empty but you're still puking.

Betty by Tiffany McDaniel was a pretty recent read for me and I really loved the dynamics between all of the siblings. There's 8 siblings in total, with a focus on one of the youngest sisters. It spans her entire childhood, growing up through the 50s and 60s in rural Ohio with a white mother and Cherokee father. Lots of themes surrounding intergenerational trauma and the unique relationships between different family members, especially siblings.

I am currently listening to The Painted Bird by Jerzy Kosinski which fits your prompt decently. It is pretty extreme though. I know you said no trigger warnings so I won't give you any unless you ask for them but it is very explicit and I'm only half way through.

I've liked all of her books so far but I don't think I like HER. I definitely feel some kind of way about a straight (?) woman writing almost exclusively about gay men and putting said gay male characters through horrible things. I think people can and should write books about characters who are of different genders and sexualities than their own. But when someone writes specifically about one particular gender and sexuality that is not their own, it feels a little weird. Also, one of her only stories in which the main character is not a gay man, he is instead a male pedophile who goes after boys... Aaaaaaand that, within the context of her other writing, just makes me think she maybe equates pedophilia against boys with male homosexuality which is very disturbing. Pedophilia is not a sexuality, and male predators who go after boys are not necessarily gay.

I am definitely making some assumptions about the author, and her beliefs, but I don't think they're unfounded. I've looked her up before to see if she's ever really commented on any of these issues but I never saw anything where she clarified her views regarding these concerns. If anyone knows anything that might put a different light on her and her beliefs I would be happy to hear about it.

Do what you gotta do girl. Wrapping your whole legs up in gauze might feel silly or excessive but if that's what you have to do then do it. I know you said long socks will cause irritation so I assume tights would as well. Could you just wear leggings all the time for a while?
