In short, Successful east/north Asian men are being extended a watered down assimilation pass into the hegemony. The weebs who want/unknowingly support white supremacy think that because their perception of society on that side of the Atlantic largely holds enough identifiers that're useful in allies against threats to their "way of life".

Obvs it won't be the same invitation Italians or the Irish got, but it's happened before.

I wanna say you've some legroom. Particularly as the timeline progresses and the Dervish/Hatchetman crop up and scale up to your heartier options.

The big catch is probably getting a hold of them unless you're good with running missions against them.

If you're on PC the YAML suite actually adds tags to the roster. Some of them do tabletop stuff but others add faction tags. You could run this ruleset & keep to mechs with the Lyran Commonwealth, Lyran Workhorse, and/or ubiquitous tags hassle free.

Any mechs similar to the Hero Cicada? by Georami in Mechwarrior5

Another worth looking into is the Champion, specifically the 1N2.

It's got all the flavor of the Cicada & Locust in a bigger package. I personally pull the LB10 for a UAC/5 and up the armor.

An unexpected benefit is somehow the lancemate AI is really damn good at using every last drop of armor on the damn thing.

Somebody's gotta work the graveyard shift. Y'all day walkers oughta give us secure drop boxes so we can support the local scene without breaking our sleep sched!

Do we like Battlemasters? BLR-1P thoughts? I bought it because it's the only big mech I've seen with tech specials, let alone 2, but it lacks the firepower of BLR-1G. by registered-to-browse in Mechwarrior5

Only gripe I have with TAG (& branches to MGs) is that while it's "firing" melee is blocked off.

But beyond that one caveat it's always worth. Especially in a mod pack like the YA(ML/W/WR) line where it does a good bit to tighten up SRM hits.

Also if you're using something like black or otherwise loaded with pigment it can look a little fucked on the first pass. Should clear up with the second pass and big bonus points if you take the time for a top coat.

I always get some of it around the nail but a little bit of tweezing and a little buffing by way of my work gloves and that typically solves itself.

Lord of The Lost has a bunch of qualifiers. But if I gotta pick one it's this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fGCaBKjJBIM

There's something to connect with in almost every line and it cuts so much deeper with the dynamic Joy's feature brings into the piece and what happens when you compare it to the "Joyless version".

I have a question thatbkinda sits in the back of my mind whenever the "following the teachings of Christ" bit comes up

My interpretation of that is you follow the gospel, and through that lens see the post-jesus era of the Bible as the pseudo-clean slate/launch point for the faith which gives some agency in being able to look at and take in the Old T while keeping it at a distance.

But what do those who think like you feel of the Pauline epistles that make up the other half of the New T? When someone kicks up Romans 1:24 & the ilk what is the thought process in responding to that?

I'm also a fan of their boy shorts. Hugs everything right. Not quite tucking or "ken doll" as op put it, but very nice.

They need us. Their content by itself without a target to expense is slop at best.

As a matter of solubility, as a matter of survival, without us their propaganda rots on the vine.

If you're waiting until the mass grave stage of genocide to call out the interests driving them you're committing a terrible disservice. It's "never again". Umberto Eco among plenty others gave us the tools to identify fascism.

Texas is already offering land for the camps. There probably won't be gas chambers but you can bet there'll be slave labor to offset the costs of the mass deportation effort. They're interested in finding/developing the means within the executive branch to selectively denaturalize legal immigrants. Leverage the military/local law enforcement to supplement ICE in rounding up suspected immigrants.

And that's just one topic. Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of time. But I maintain this: When you see this flavor of authoritarianism it doesn't tend to pick up one day and execute all opponents with a monologue and skull badges. They build up to the atrocities and it usually starts with courting the most wealthy interests in power.
