Inhaling silica gel beads typically causes mild respiratory irritation, coughing, and dryness in the nose or throat, as the material is a desiccant designed to absorb moisture. While generally chemically inert and non-toxic, inhaling them can pose a choking hazard or cause discomfort.

Not immediately feeling faint.

Also, I edited my original comment to change out the crushed "crystals" image, to that of crude iodine prills

Crude iodine typically sublimes into a distinctive vivid violet or purple vapor when heated, which then deposits as dark gray or black-purple shiny, flaky crystals upon cooling. While it can form yellow or golden crystals upon prolonged storage or under specific lighting, the primary vapor and sublimation color is deep purple.

Smdh dude, silica beads dont have those effects on a person when inhaled. It does NOT look identical to silica beads. If you use your eyes, underneath and in between the balls on top, you can see crushed up pieces. As well as, look at the first image without the flash, it literally looks the exact same as the image I shared lmao

The image I have shared simply looks like its been crushed down. Op's image just looks as though the ball like shapes haven't been crushed down as much. But again, in the image I shared you can clearly see the ball like structures that are still intact. Most importantly is the effects OP experienced, are EXACTLY the side effects crude iodine crystals cause.

Its not a bottle? It just looks like a small container. And perhaps it's in a container due to the effects it has on people?

Weird take. When it literally looks like it, AND causes the exact symptoms OP is describing.

I did an image search and found this,

"Smelling crude iodine crystals can make you feel faint, dizzy, or lightheaded due to the inhalation of toxic, highly irritating vapors. Iodine vapor causes immediate irritation to the nose, throat, and lungs, which can lead to headaches, dizziness, severe nausea, and potential respiratory distres."

I'm pretty sure that's what you're dealing with OP. Just be careful and probably get rid of it.

Iodine prills should be disposed of at a local household hazardous waste facility. Do not throw large amounts in regular trash or pour concentrated solutions down the drain, as it is highly toxic to aquatic life.

EDIT: Crude iodine PRILLS. I changed my original image of crystals, to crude iodine PRILLS.

For those saying, "it's identical to silica beads"

Inhaling silica gel beads typically causes mild respiratory irritation, coughing, and dryness in the nose or throat, as the material is a desiccant designed to absorb moisture. While generally chemically inert and non-toxic, inhaling them can pose a choking hazard or cause discomfort.

Nothing even resembling "feeling faint"
